If there’s one thing we don’t expect from the happy-go-lucky members of team Aftershock, it’s for them to have a bust up. But, unlikely as it may seem, Renick’s typically placid bunch have been experiencing differences in opinion and as a result two players have left the squad. We haven’t had this confirmed as yet, but we have heard from a reliable source that both Todd Martinez and Lil Rob have been struggling to get on with new captain Jeremy Salm.
Unable to settle their differences, both players have moved on/been kicked out of the squad – we’ve yet to find out the details. Todd Martinez is said to have picked up his giant ginger afro and marched over to the Dynasty camp where he’s found a home with his old teammates. Todd’s move to Dynasty means that the old Iron Kids are almost all back together. They are now only missing one original member – Yosh Rau. Actually, we wouldn’t be surprised if Yosh were to switch sides next season. The Ironmen aren’t exactly rocking the NXL at the moment, and the lure of an old skool reunion might be too strong.
Lil Rob is apparently still looking for a new team, but we don’t imagine he’ll be hung out to dry for long. We’ll bring you news of where you can see him playing from now on as soon as we find out.
This leaves Shock two players short, but now Salm’s in charge it’s very possible that some of his young protégés on team Vicious may get signed up.
