Dude, if it's for next season, you can keep saving, and you can get a speed. Or for near the same price, you can get a new stock black IR3.
Edit: Wait a sec... nevermind. By might have, I'm assuming you don't already have that. lol

Read up on cockers and mags and then make a decision on which gun fits your style, budget, and maintenance skills better.

Get a used automag RT pro used. Mags are built like tanks and require low maintenance so don't worry about buying one used.

Outkast Cocker. Pics in my sig. It is the best valued Cocker available, as I payed $445 for it brand new on eBay. And then you can buy whatever else you need with all the other money.

What kind of ball do you play and what kind of a gun do you want? You need to think about those two things...

That new cocker from WGP is ugly and useless. You would be much better off with the Black Magik or something. If i where i would go for a 2k3 cocker or a BM or a Impulse.

You could get a pretty nice Impulse for 650, new or used.

Yeah...
I think I'm either going for the Impulse or the Evil Omen.
I hear good things about the Omen, and its well in my price range..
and I decided not to get a mag, I wish AGD had some sort of Automag kit, instead of those stupid bodies....
So far I'm leaning towards the Omen, people say Omen Stock are better than Impulse Stock...
and I wont have the money to buy upgrades for an impulse till much later.

The Omen also costs more than an Impulse. And getting a used Impulse is not a problem, finding a used Omen may be a bit difficult.
An Impulse with no upgrades is NOT a bad marker, I've owned two, they were both fast, consistant, very very accurate, little to no kick, just all around great markers. And with upgrades (that aren't even necessary imo) it'll just keep getting better.

Omens I hear are similar to blowbacks, except in some weird blow-back fashion (what I hear, cannot confirm)

Automags and autocockers are both nice guns. Autocockers you need to readup on alot of information on how to tune and time them correctly. Once you figure that out, you won't ever have to see an airsmith again.
Automags are converting some autocockers owners over to thier side because of the new aftermarket stuff that has just come out for the gun. One of the veterans I know has had the same automag classic for 7 years and it is still working perfectly. Lvl 10, ULE, and Xvalve would be the way to go. You will have a gun that will last a lifetime.

Nope, its not a blowback from what I hear.
its like an Autococker, except everything is internal.
it has a back block as well.
I think one of the Omen sayings are
"Fast like an Angel, Accurate as an Cocker"
And it has this Cam feed which prevents double feeding.
And some people say it has one of the BEST Stock barrels out there.
oh and its Capped at 15bps I think....

Dude capped at 15 bps? Nowadays that is not a good sign...

Actually the Omen is a blowback. The only reason you dont notice much kick or anything is due to the fact that its closed bolt, and a blowback. You dont see that very often.
