ok i guess i'm a noob but i've slaughtered all my friends thus far lol i've been using a brass eagle eradicator which despite some reviews... has worked fine for me. anyways i was thinkin about getting a better gun.... my friend recently got a prodigy which is electro.... and i gotta say i like it. but i was also thinking of getting a shutter cuz i've heard good things about that. i'm not sure which i should get. if u would please give some advice as to which may be better quality... or easier... cheaper... whatever to upgrade and maintain and use.... it would be greatly appreciated.

i guess i'm askin what would u use? prodigy or shutter? what upgrades would u recommend for either? what type of paint and such would u recommend? thanks so much...

oh yeah... in case this makes any difference... i got my erad last xmas. i don't really play heavily organized tourney's... just some field fun once in awhile or a little tourney of about 20 people set up by a friend. one of those is comin up later in august... if that makes a difference in what i should use...

Keep the marker you have, save up for a good loader, save up for nitro, then buy something like a Bko or an Impulse. Given its going to take longer, it will be VERY worth it in the end.

Well this is what i would do, Get a spyder, get a cheaper ones, spyders have very similer internals across the board so get one of the cheaper ones, then start getting non-specific upgrades, like a universal drop, nitro, a new loader, (and if you really know what high end gun you would like you could buy a barrel for it and a barrel adaptor) then once you have enough money, you can jump up to high-end already w/ nitro a good loader, maybe a new barrel, and all the skill you got from playing with your spyder..... ( you could always sell it, or just keep it as a backup )

well thats my 3 cents (yeah i know, im generous)

If the eradicator is working fine for you, then why get rid of it? I'd say invest in universal upgrades now. Get a nitro tank and a nice loader. Then you can save up more and get a BKO.

I have to agree. Upgrade later when you really make an improvement, but going from a blowback to a blowback seems rather pointless IMO. Stick with what is working well (and I assume it is by your opening remarks) until you can really improve your game with a different gun, but make the neccessary modifications like nitro and a good loader, etc.

Good luck, and happy hunting.

thanks lots for the advice. i dunno... i don't think i'm like gonna go start a team and play ameteur tourny's or somethin like that so i'm a little wary of pouring out the money. and i know someone reading this is probably thinkin "if you don't want to spend the money then don't play the sport" or "you can't play if you don't want to spend money on it" which i agree with... i think i just wanna stay at the same level as the people i a play with a lot. not dish out $500 for a gun alone. i doubt that i'll get into it that much. that's why i was thinkin of getting a cheap, but better gun. so that there is improvement... but it's a safe investment. recently a lot of my friends got new equipment... i know it's not the marker that makes the player but it does help right? guess it's peer pressure hahaha i don't know what i wanna do... sounds like most people would buy nitro and a loader eh? lol that'll look interesting on my $50 wal mart gun hahaha but i'll look into it. thanks again

u could stay w/that gun and upgrade. but i would recomend the shutter for about 120! its a great gun!:D then a new barrel a drop forward and if you want to buy a sprint frame and go electro! and if u dont mind spendin good money get a mako frame!;)

Getting a shutter than an electric frame is a waste. Just get like an Imagine or an E99 so you don thave to spend more money than you have to.

Imagine(or whatever spyder is the compact with an electro frame) + 68/3k steel tank + Revy = less then 200.

under 200? that would be a good price... i dunno... imagine's like 120, and a tank and a revvy for under 80? where would i go to get prices like that?

Then you can pick up a hopper (I'm selling a reloader for 30) on pbreview, along with the HPA tank.
