The only gun I'd choose over an Impulse is the Shocktech matrix, it's pretty much a low pressure Angel, and I'd pick low pressure over high anyday. But for now, I'll stick with my Impulse and will probably stick with it for a few years, even though I'll probably get a Matrix in about a year.

I don't realy like angels there uver rated in my opinion. I take back my statment, I'd take 3 different cockers: Revenge V2, Eclipse, Vortex. I might take a timmy but I think I'd have a hard time getting use to the shape. And maybe a matrix but probably not.

I dont have an impy, but I will in a couple months or maybe even a year if I am that unlucky, but the Revenge v2 is my dream gun, made by my favorite store that runs my favorite field. A guy at Splat Attack let me fire a couple balls out of it once, and that thing is just sweet.

actually i take back the angel, here is what i would want:
titanium ripper timmy, clear ribbed grip panels, custom jewel, full freak set all sizes of the fronts teardrop and AA all annoed to match with ss back also all inserts nickel plated, chrome shockteck drop foward, 45/4500 angel AIR, 12v rev with turbo rev board, right side black, left side smoke with intellifeed, timmy has the SOB board, aka sidewinder with titanium cap to match the timmy, ss hose w/ pro-connect, delrin bolt, LP mod, and trigger job.
hope i didnt forget anything :D

The impulse is the only gun for me. For the buy you can't go wrong. I have just purchased a crazy chrome Impulse from FOM and can't wait until they come in. I may buy a different gun in the future (will never BUY an Angel), but right now the Impulse is the only gun for me.

i think i would take any gun on that list over a stock impulse. i personally dont think the impulse is that nice when you compare to high end guns like those, its super nice when you compare to guns in its price range though . . .

How can you say that. The impulse can be compared to any gun in that list. Dollar for Dollar the Impulse is the best gun on the market.

I agree 100%. I own 2 Angels so I can compare and feel that I know what I am talking about.

I totally agree with wolverine...the impulse suprised me so much at how great it shot and played. It's really sweet, but stock, it's not too good, but not many guns come really nice stock, but after you buy a few things for it, it rocks! That's also why I like to Matrix, it really impressed me how well it played, and I love that it's several hundred dollars cheaper than an Angel, and still shoots as fast and smooth. But I don't see too much difference in a Matrix and an Impulse, except for the 300 dollar price difference. So that's why the Impulse rules overall!
I'd take a shocker or a freak factory impulse over an impulse.

Maybe matric, shocktech if anything, not to keen on those
Angel,

Umm, not a stock STO, but an upgraded one

Lots o cockers
A nasty typhon, those are awesome!

I've always had a thing for Smart Parts guns :) I recently bought a mag, and I'm planning on selling my two others guns and some gear to possibly get an impulse or shocker. I love the triggers on shockers, not too light and not too heavy. Perfect.

Well I guess that covers it; most people love the Impulse more because it is extremely cheap, has the many benefits of low pressure, and can compete with any of the superior priced guns on todays market. And it's really not that bad looking either  But if anyone else would like to vote, please do.

Why would you take an STO over an Imp?
impulseben

yea...i really think the sto's suck. it's just my opinion though, so don't get mad at me or anything.

I'm just curious..

i think the sto's suck because i've shot my cousins stock 2001 cocker, and a 2000 sto, and felt no real difference in the two guns. The trigger was pretty hard, the foregrip felt really wierd, and it's an extra 300 dollars. My cousins stock cocker, I felt, was much better than the sto. (and yes, they were both in perfect condition.)

do you think this about all the high end cockers? like black magic, cold fusion, etc? or is it just the sto
impulseben
09-08-2001, 05:23 PM
oh heck no,
i love to shoot the kapp and freeflow cockers. haven't shot a cold fusion or sfl. but i love the kapp and free flows, it's just the sto that i think sucks. shocktechs are pretty nice too.

I know an impulse is a good gun and all I used to shoot one before I got my angel but one I got my angel I had no use for my impy which served me well but the angel just barely chops compared to my impulse which was an older version which shot up to 20 bps and I had a worm triiger with a trigger job about 2.1 millimeters which I did myself whcih shot fast as hell but the angel seems to be more dependable to me plus the impulse was a gas hog when it wasn't on co2
