Here's another rule for you to add TL :)

Don't post pointless posts. For example, don't post that you don't have a digital camera so you can't post your pictures, or, don't post that you will post the picture when your upgrade comes. Just post the freaking pictures! :D I hate seeing that there new posts to a pic thread hoping I will see some new pictures, but then all I see is people saying how they can't post pictures...

no they don't come with those. If you're missing it, get field strip screws for your grip frame, and use a grip frame screw in place of the missing screw...they're hte same

i don't like paintball guns that replicate real firearms..cuz we try to tell everyone that paintball does not glorify war, yet we sit here and replicate firearms..also ifyou have an M16 paintball knockoff in the back seat of your car, and you get pulled over by a cop, what is his first instinct you know? anyone else agree with me?

I get freaked out everytime this one dude comes to the field, he's got one of those M16 Reps, and he's all dressed out in his Military atire, right up to the Kevlar helmet and flak jacket, and I'm thinking to myself, "So, what happens if this guy has a Nam flashback, and sticks a bayonet on his marker and charges my bunker??? :eek: You think I'm gonna stay there and defend that sucker?"

LOL. The M-16 and otheres are cool though. It is neat how you have to reload after every 25 shots. And they are the most acurate and longest range guns on the market. The fps on the AT's go from 250(at least) to usualy around 360. I bet it would hurt like a b*tch to get hit by one of those!

Thats a nice little TL Plus. Wish I had the money to buy all of that. I do have a game plan though. I play the viola and I have an old one that is to small for me now. I'm gonna sell it on ebay for AT LEAST $250. With the 250 ill get a new bolt, barrel, drop forward, and dye sticky grips. If I still have extra cash ill get a PMI Pure energy regulater and a anti siphon tank. Thats a bunch of crap!

Yeah, its real sweet. Ive worked real hard on my shutter to. SOme people think upgrading a spyder is useless, but if u take the time and efort they kick ***. Il try and get a pic asap so i can post it and u can see my gun. It similar to yours, ept the drop foward is straight and goes under, thats basically all the outer differences.

This is a little off subject but oh well. Go to a place called http://www.paintballstar.com and look up paintball movies. They have recordings of tournement games that you can download. They take a little while, bet they are realy sweet. There are 3 right now. They tell you what you need to play them and all of that. :eek:

Hey TLPlus84, did your drop forward have the matching holes to attach your bottom line adapter? or did it have the straight holes. Mine had straight holes so I had to make a custom metal part to connect my bottom line adaptor to the drop forward. I had to make a quick custom job because I had a game in a few days. Hence the different size screws, LOL. I have to fix that now that I have time. By the way it's a PROLINE Stretch Drop forward. I like it. I can play really tight with this drop forward.

I have almost the same set up! Got a vigi instead of th ans and an Air America Melee instead of the cross fire. Also i recently bought an ELCD, those those things are awsome. Oh yah and my shutter is blue, but i want to get it re-anodized. I was thinkin black with some chrome brush strokes/confetti:) I think it will look good with my matching CP. Well i should probably stop yakin:)

it looks better without, the only probelm i have is the screws scracehd where the barel goes in, so i have these dots of silve rin my blue anodizing, which sucks, but it still looks better without the shroad. It wouldnt match the barel, and one my gun, it covers up half of the dye logog, so it looks like **** ne ways.

Hehehe, probably one of the nicer looking blowbacks I've ever seen. If you REALLY want to look cool though, get a freak (trust me, this way you only need to do this to one barrel), get the back end in chrome, and get the front end anoed to match your gun :) That's just my advice though, and it's expensive, but I gotta say, that gun looks real nice

Yes but contrary to popular belief, a boomstick isnt the end all of barrels, you're still gonna need to change barrels for different paint sizes, so you're not gonna be usin the boomstick 100% of the time, which is why I'd say the freak is a better choice for a barrel to ano

If you play in your state, then you know what all the field paint is, and you can get one or two barrels instead of getting a 200 dollar barrel system, when you won't be using half of htem. The freak system is a very good system, but i think it's for more of a tourney player...and i really don't see the point in putting a barrel on a gun that is equal in value..COMe on guyz, keep posting pictures up. :D

You know what, you're probably right. You've gotta understand that I'm seeing things from a tainted point of view here. I'm not a blowback player, I'm a high end player, so some times I lose sight of things, and I guess for that you guys'll have to bear with me, and just say "Yes Twitcho, whatever you say" some times, when I'm tellin you to put an amount of money into your gun that could pay off the national debt. I just stay here because I like the blowback crowd, and I know a good deal about the guns, I did indeed have one for a while :) So anyhow, i'd like to change my barrel choice to any kind of 2 piece. I find that a chrome back and black front can really improve the look of any gun. And it doesnt have to be a freak or a boomer, you could even put a JJ 2 piece, or one of any other brand of 2 piece on there. That's my advice though, and your own decisions are what makes it your gun, so take anything anyone tells you here with a grain of salt. I still think it looks great as it is though man :)

yeah freak systems do look very nice...it's pricy though..but you get what you pay for, and if you are into the very best, and you have the money to spend, go ahead and get it, you won't be sorry. The freak system gives you unparralelled flexibily with bore sizes, so you will be shooting good no matter what size paint you have, given that you do have all the bore inserts.

I don't own the freak system, but from what I hear and see, it looks as if it gives a player a lot of flexibility, which is good.

it is a great barrel systme, but i just suggested the boomstick iea because most blow back players concentrate on using on e type of pint becasue we paly rec most of the time. I know that paiunt swells with umidity and all that stuff, but for a spyer, i dont think its worth it, but some woul aslo say a bomsitck isnt worth it. It is a great barrel system though.

The only thing I have added is a 14" Taso Stone Cold II.
The Limited Edition comes with an x chamber and vacuum chamber. It also has a different grip than a rebel, or rebel deluxe. It has the same grip as a PT Extreme. This is a very solid gun and it shoots great.

I'm getting a macroline and a sweet custom drop forward put on my gun right now, getting it back next weekend. Do you find that the macroline makes any difference better or worse and does it run good on c02?

Macrolines will run well with CO2 or N2. I personally like it better than SS braided hoses, for the braided hoses are pretty hard to work with. Once you get a new drop forward of different length, it's time to buy a new hose if you use SS braided. Microline's... well... way too restrictive. If you're going LP, you'll want to use macrolines or SS braided hoses. Macrolines aren't any more restrictive of air than the SS braided hoses. From the SS hoses, I changed to the macrolines. When I had the SS hoses, I could run at 275psi without having a ball in the chamber. Changing it to macrolines, same thing.

you might have a problem with that reg/xchamber setup. THe bottomline on the setup has standard screw placeemnt, and the Kingman frame is staggared hole..you gotta get something like a standard bottomline adapter block so that you can use the standard screws on your stock frame.

its jsut a guage to tell where my presure is at, because my reg didnt come with omne. ITs a 32 degrees lp gugae. Wht i had my proshop do was srill out my asa adator to give me beter flow,and then they tapped the guage into the asa. Total price including the guage and the labor was 40 bucks, so it wasnt to bad.

I have a tl+ (pics to be posted soon) and I have the pmi pure energy reg, and need (translated, would like to have) a gauge. So, I am not prepared to go LP yet, will that gauge still work? I plan to go LP sometime, but that's a bit more costly than what I can do right now.


It look slike your gauge is tapped into your vertical adapter, I guess I'm nto sure where the ASA adapter is exactly...thought the ASA was the think the tank screws into. Would I need to get anythign else done to my gun to have the gauge tapped? (not sure I wanna ask the shop here, they tried to talk me out of getting the PMI reg cause they say they can't get any to work, which is disturbing cause I'm new and I got mine working just fine w/o a chrono or gauge).

Any help is appreciated.

asa adaptro, or vertical adaptor, is where the tank can be screwed in, but when u have a reg, u screw it into the bottmline adaptro. U could have it put in, but it probably wouldnt make much sense. I have it so i can tell whrre my pressure is at because have an lp setup. U can have t done, and itll look coo, but it willjust sow u the pressure of your tank, thats it. If u want it dowen, jus tbring it down to the local proshop, or gun smith,and ask them to tap the guage. It cost me 40 bucks, but that included the price of the guage, and ai aslo had them drill out my asa adaptor for better flow.

no sir....if you put a guage in after your regulator...such as on you ASA .....LP or NOT.....it will tell you what pressure your regulatoer is set at....not how much pressure is in your tank.....and you can probably still lower your pressure...just not as low as an LP set up....I have had my spyder running stock at about 650 psi....285 pfs....with no problems.....

So if you want a guage just make sure you mount it on or after the regulator so you are reading the pressure after not before the regulator....

sisnce u dont have lp, it odesnt matter, The pressure would be 700psi, becasu ethats rthe pressure coming out of the tank. U ould set it lower with the eg, but it owuldnt maje a diffeence, becaeuse without an lp setuip, ur gun owuldnt work much lower then 700 ne ways.

actually there are 2 kinds of hose macro and micro. Marco is better for low pressure, because the tube size is larger and allows more air to pass freely, but micro can be wrapped in the steel wire making it more durable yet a smaller tube.

It screws into an ASA if it's a screw-in N2 tank. If not, a hose is connected to the tank. No, I'm pretty sure he means macroline. If he's using microline, he should switch the hose anyhoo. Microlines're too freakin' restrictive of air.

Paint Killer.... if you are using a regulator hooked up to your ASA(vertical adapter)....you will have to have a bottom line adapter to screw your tank onto because your reg will be in the ASA....now with the shutter....if you put a new regulator on your ASA(where the x chamber is now) you will want to change the fittings(kingman uses metric and all other regualtors use standard) and line (kingmans lines are Macro not micro but are an odd size non the less) and also the drop foward ....(because the stock drop uses two holes side by side and all the drops I know of are one in front of the other)...and you will need a new bottom line adapter(the stock reg is now your bottom line adapter)

Hope that answered your question....or I just rambled for no reason.....

my gun cost almost 700 dollars for whoever asked. As for the guage, u can get it agt 888paintball for 15 or so bucks. The guage would read the output pressure on ur reg, not ur bootle, they dotn tell u when the bootle is empty. Thtas what i ment to say, sory if i didnt, its hard to tell what im trying to say throgh my typing. U shold by the reg, becaue it wil help u in the future, and with an anti siphon tank, its just as effective as an ex chamber. Buy macroline it sbeter flow, and if u can, buy a drop forward. I fu dont, ul need a botem line stadar to metirc thread adaptor for the fittings.
