How many people out there carry a 12 gram adapter and some 12 grams for your gun as a backup? I just tried firing it out of a standard spyder today, and it held out for like 25 shots, which can be useful in the last minutes of a game.

uh.. it would take a long time to unscrew your co2 and then put the 12g in your adapter then screw in the adapter...

..plus you have to then store the big co2 tank somewhere...

might be better just knowing how many shots you can get, and how many shots you have shot :)

IF a field bought a hole bunch of adapters, they could make some cool games. where you only get 4 12 grams or something. so when you are changing so would be a lot of people and the people not changing could charge. That would be a cool game IMO.

how much an adapter cost?

CCI Makes the best metal ones. $22 from them, or $20 from www.siegecraft-paintball.com. I think that's the right link. Anyway, CCI's site is www.phantomonline.com. Mike's a really cool guy, and is the orginator of the Phantom.

Actually, I had been throwing around the idea of buying a 12 gram adapter for quite some time now. I've had a few occasions where I've run out of C02 and where an adapter and a few 12 grams would have saved the day. After all, having to use an adapter and 12 grams for C02 is better then no C02 at all.

I see this being a huge problem while in the field. I have a gravity fed Phantom and it used to be a SC (stock class). In order to put on the 12 gram adapter you would have too: screw the case onto the adapter, screw the adapter into the gun, unscrew the quick changer, or 12 gram case, put in 12 gram, screw onto the gun.

Besides, would you really want to lug around a 20oz tank or nitro tank? that would be a pain in the balls. And to take off the adapter afterward, you need a HUGE allen head wrench. I mean, the one i use to take off my adapter weighed like 3 pounds.
