You could have gone into a LITTLE more detail.

Older boards had a dome switch and "on-off" type timing adjustments. The dome switch did not give as good as trigger feel as possible. I've heard it described as a "mushiness."

The LS (lever switch) boards have a plate, and when it makes contact with the "switch", you have shot the Shocker. With a good adjustable trigger, you can have a trigger like clicking a mouse.

Also it has "pots" for timing. Small screws that can have more definition that just on or off.

So, the LS board can have a better trigger and is easier to time.
