Don't be afraid. Push and go for the flag. Communicate and timing is essential. Don't go for the flag too soon, and don't wait too long.

You must have a back player and a mid its essntial to have enough support so the front can make up close kills and make a flag grab. The mid player should be very flexible and should be ready to fill in if th efront player is eleiminated. The back player should have plenty of paint. i went to ta 3 man tounrey ( I play back) and the last game i had no paint once my other teamates were eliminated and i was facing their last player with no paint( i tried keeping im down by shooting c02 lol) and i could hvae won that game with more paint.

lots of paint no matter where you are playing is a good thing to have. just don't be afraid to shoot a lot of paint. in rookie/rec tournies, if it's other teams first time out, chances are that they won't knowwhat t do if you're shooting lots of paint at them.

Try to get your mid players/back players to help you bunker someone. Bunkering people is a great thing to do in 3 mans. Also, the flag is the most important thing in the game. Keep your mind on it.

even if you get shot after you bunker a guy as long as hes in a good(for his team)/bad(for your team) spot then its still good
