THE FIELD
Action Pursuit's field is located in Greeley Colorado, along the South Platte River. The field is made up of 22 acres of forest and tall grass. Bunkers line the various fields played on and our three speedball arenas are designed to make the action fast and fun.

For the serious recreational player, the "Saving Private Ryan" field is a realistic simulation of military activities storming an adversary's iron clad bunkers. Two groups are carried to the shores in transport boats with drop-down gates. At the start of the action, you'll find yourself racing for the scarce bunkers while under fire. Only a team effort is going to bring victory on this field.

The Good:
Their open every day.
Excellent airsmith.
Paint Buyback program.

The Bad:
Prices. For the quality of the paint, the prices were outrageous.
Their prices on parts are insane. They were looking around 180 for a blade double trigger frame for a cocker.
"Proshop" doesn't qualify. I've got more appendages then they've got equipment.
They only fill to 3000psi on hpa.
Owners dont have a problem shooting hot hot hot.
Paint buyback program. Its nice if you've got a ton leftover, but makes ya wonder how old the paint your getting is.

Overall Conclusion:
I wasn't terribly impressed. It wasn't a bad field layout, but that was about the only thing that I truly liked about the field. The guys there were extremely cocky and arrogant, especially when I asked a few cocker questions. That I didn't appreciate. Their airsmith was pretty cool once I started talking to him directly, but aside from him, I was extremely put off.
I dont mind getting hit with 300fps balls point blank a few times, but 300fps+ point blank all night gets me pretty damn hot.
Also waiting for over an hour between games got real old.
Maybe I just had a bad experience, but I dont know how likely it is I'll be going back.

Comments:
Overall, the field layout is incredible. 110 acres of fields. This is the freak system of fields, you can play any and every game in paintall.
The people are generally pretty cool, and the pro shop has anything and everything you could want.

Biggest things I like are:

How much stuff they've got in stock. Unless its a major oddball part they wont have to order it.

Quality of field op's and refs. Even the recball refs aren't afraid to jump into the line for a paint check. Have only seen one person get away with wiping in a recball game and he didn't really get away with it. He caught probably 3 hoppers in the back walkin off the field when he finally called himself out.

The sheer volume of field space available. 4 or 5 games going on at one time is barely touching the fields as long as the refs are available to play that many. Excellent location.

The things i dont like:
Paint quality sucks and the prices are insane. I could buy marby for less. I have yet to get a case without a few broken balls and that wasn't flatspotted badly(imagine a pair of 20sided dice).

Prices at the proshop tend to be rather high. Due to the selection they carry, they can sort of get away with it, but it gets old quick.($3 for a foot of cocker hose, $70 for jt destroyers, $6 for VL 140rd pods etc). Overall paint is the biggest ***** pricewise.

Overall, This is an excellent field. The guys down there have got an excellent group of guys running it, the rental equipment is always in excellent shape. I have never seen one fail, which i think speaks rather highly of them.

Overall great field. Bit of a drive from denver but well worth it.
The staff is incredible, always willing to give some advice or some equipment help or whatever you need. Prices are great, excellent quality field paint(RPS, PMI Premium etc).

The Pro Shop is also incredible. Good ammount of stuff on hand, and anything you need will be there exactly when they say it will.
Excellent airsmith, customer service, etc etc. I could go on and on.

The only thing I dont like is weekends where I cant get up there to play.

Styles of Play Available: Speedball, Super-Mega Speedball( basically a very long speedball field with nearly every sort of bunker you could imagine), Pallet town( woods game with center flag push. various terrain features to take advantage of including a small ravine type deal, heavy woods, open area with only large grass, and 3 different forts.), Chaka-Zulu (u cram 5 or 6 really experienced guys with really good guns in a small tower and they may only go so far as one bunker away. cant allow anyone to touch inside of the tower. great practice to backplayers if ur on the roof cuz then u have the job of keeping a good part of the field pinned down at the same time. generally 25-30 or even more players against the defenders.), Ranger Manor( a large woods field with one large "manor" near the center. various sorts of woods games played here.) and a few more fields that are only played in cooler weather due to the lengthy travel to them.

Comments/Conculsions: can u resist it? i didnt! they are also constantly looking for refs and reffing can also help you to play more often and insure a fair, safe game. also when u ref, u begin to know the fields muuuuch better...
The price is right, the fields are excellent, and the staff is friendly(unless ur a ref then they are given the right to say whatever they want about u since theyre ur new boss:laugh:)
