Hey, was wondering, this will be my last post/question about drop forwards, as I have ordered the drop-forward I'm getting....they CP 2" Drop, I believe most have seen one on Intimidators gun...

well, the catch is that it has straight holes, instead of angled holes that the spyder grip has. SO, this problem is partially solved by the planet eclipse bottomline convertor (http://www.paintballgear.net/ecspydbotlin.html).

However, my final problem is that I'll need a new bottom-line adapter that has the 2 inline holes, so I found this:
http://www.paintballgear.net/2holbotlinad.html

That is just the adapter, they also have a kit that has the adapter, hose, fittings, etc.

My question then is this: will I be able to use JUST the ADAPTER on my TL+? My gun is pretty much stock, so I have stock hoses, fittings, etc.

If you know of anything else I'll need, PLEASE let me know, as I'll be ordering the adapter/convertor sunday night, so pbgear will get it to me by thursday, and I can have it all setup for the weekend.

THANKS IN ADVANCE!

you'll need to get a new hose, cuz the bottom line is in standard, and the Kingman hose is Metric. ALso, your gas thru grip(mini expansion chamber) MIGHT not be able to adapt the standard threads, so you might have to replace that too. Get a reg, the PMI Pure Energy is nice. I don't know why Kingman makes this so hard...

Why not just use the stock hose and get a drop forward like TL has?

i don't have a stock hose. I got a new one from the pro shop near my house. I also got a new reg the same day, so it worked out perfectly.

Why don't you just go Nitro? The preset tanks aren't that expensive.

if u go to paintballpx, they have a drop forwrd jsut for the spyder, and its nly 20 bucks, its a great drop forward, i also bout macroine for it. This drop forward allows you to only have 3 inches of a twenty ounce tank sticking out, whoic is greeat for shouldering the gun.

hey tlplus, with a 2" cp drop, will a standard length hose still work? (also assuming i get the pmi reg).

They ahve a few sizes I cna get, 10" (standard), 9", 6", 13', 7.5".

Also, I'm probably gonna get this kit here:
http://www.paintballgear.net/2holbotlinki2.html

for $19.95. It APPEARS that it comes with adapter, hose, C/A adapter and the 90 degree elbow attached...BUT, it doesn't mention the elbow in the listing. I will prolly just have to call them.

Then I'll get the pmi reg and planet eclipse convertor...then I'll be set...

and to top it off, I can get the anti-syphon tube installed at a shop here...

so, that'll be a nice setup I imagine.

Thing is Muck, I dont wanna pay so much for a nitro tank, its just not concevieble for me to think about spending that much for a tank of nitrogen...i just cant get myself to buy a n2 tank

I understand the money thing ... I'm waiting for tax returns so I can make a purchase. However, there are some good Preset Nitro Tanks for under $150.

Preset is the way to go if you're not going to modify for Low Pressure; just like the USB ports on an iMac, with a preset you can just Plug and Play.

I don't see why not. You just have to figure out how much hose you'll need...I'm guessing you'll need the 6 in. one, because of the drop forward. You will need to get another elbow cuz that kit is the basic bottomline. BUT you don't need another elbow. I run my reg without an elbow. ALso, i think you might need a 6 in. hose....it seems like that would be the right length to use from your drop forward to the reg.

HI.
If I understand correctly, when I want to install the standard drop forward (so I don't have to buy it again when I get the cocker later) on my spyder TL+ stock grip I would need
1. an adapter to connect the grip to Drop forward
2. a new hose and CA adapter to connect to the other end of Drop forward
3. a connector to convert metric to standard thread for hose so it would fit the new hose to the stock mini expansion chamber (or whatever that thing is) :)

Am I missing something else?

Thanks.

that looks like it to me. Instead of getting an adapter to connect the new standard hose to the metric mini-xchamber, I just got a pmi regulator, I figured I was gonna get one anyways.

I bought a ProLine Stretch Drop Forward that was 7" Long. The hole the connect to the grip line up correctly but the problem was that the holes to attach my bottom line adapter to the other end of the drop forward didn't. I had a game coming up so I didn't have time to order a new bottom line adapter to fit the holes, So I just made my self a custom piece. Here are some pictures of my custom job. Now i have to find somekind of adapter because I would like to add a regulator to this!

Does nitro work excactly like co2? as in you screw it in like co2 and u don't have to get any more parts?

MR.KITTY: yes, a preset nitro tank will work just like a CO2 tank, just screw it in and play. I may be wrong on this, but I think the only reason you'd want to get a nitro tank with an adjustable regulator is if you plan on converting your marker to low pressure. Even with a preset tank, if you decide to go low pressure, you can add an inline adjustable regulator later. Of course, to go low pressure, you'll need more than that ... TL would be a good one to ask about that though.

Hi.

One last question..
If I get a regulator such as PMI or Palmer, do I need any adapter in order to screw that in on the TL+.

Thanks for your reply.

I don't think so. It's understanding from reading the specs on the tl+ that it has a built in vertical adapter, which is what you would need to add the pmi regulator.
