Hi just recived my jj cermaic barrel today, how happy i was...so i headed for the back yard to compare my stock spyder xtra barrel with my new jj...much to my dismay they shot about the same....the stock barrel may have even done a better job, i was shooting groups at 54 feet, useing bigball paint (which seemed to fit nicely, only took a small breath to get it to fly out both barrels...so what gives? do jj's suck? does my gun suck? does my backyard suck, or is the stock spyder barrel really good.....should i do some 100+ feet testing...=(

If your backyard is little and you just shoot at the fence then you wont notice a difference. Try like 40-50 yards.

good point! your shooting at a target that is too close to determine a difference between the two barrels. Like Saiyan said, shoot at a target from a greater difference then you should see an impovement in your accuracy.

The Spyder Xtra barrel is pretty accruate tho...for a stock, lowend gun barrel.....

except for shutters, i think all spyder stock barrels are pretty accurate. one time me and a guy with a 32* cocker switched guns for a game and he was really surprised of the accuracy of the spyder barrel. it may just be that bigball is a very good match for spyder barrels because thats what i was using. i now own a bigshot and have found that all-stars work best with it.

like i just bought a autospirit barrel for midnight paint (the stuff is too damn small for a armson!!!) then they switch over to blaze paint which all my friends like but now im trying to sell my autospirit.

Hmm very small bore paint with a medium bore barrel?? You'll prolly get even better accuracy if you use medium bore paint.

i've shot big ball, blaze, proball, pmi premiums, 32* team colors, marbalizers, slams and all stars through my bigshot and the all stars work best. I know the allstars are really small bore, but you cant argue with results.

why don't you take some paint down with you to you local shop, and ask them if you can fit your paint in their barrels to decide what you like.

the only problem with that is they only have J&J ceramics or 2 piece and one SP AA but it's for m98.
