how is there such a big difference in feed rate between the two? its not like the agitator directly feeds the balls down into the gun; positive feeders like the warp and halo do that. so really, as long as the balls are kept from jamming, which a 9v will do as well as a 12v, shouldnt they feed at the same rate?

12v has more power and it will spin the paddles faster, making the balls turn more than the 9v..which will have a higher feed rate.
THey are about the same, but i would gladly pay 9$ for 3-4 bps faster :)

Also the 9v rev only has 2 paddles and the 12v rev has 4 paddles.
I had the same question........but would a 9v revy work for me?
I have a spyder compact 2k with bottomline...and I dont fire that fast....maybe 4bps tops.....and I dont fire much at that speed......but as it is right now my gun chops paint a TON!
Would a 9v work for me?

I8PP, i cannot imagine why you would need a 12v. I have a boo-yaah, so im gonna need decent feeding speed. I think i will set the boo-yaah to a maximum of 8 bps. If i added extra paddles to the 9v, do you really think there would be any noticable difference in feed? all it does is shake the balls around, not feed them, so the speed of the paddles doesn't really matter so much as the fact that the paintballs are being pushed around in the hopper to prevent jams.

In ACTUALLY answering your question, yes a nine volt would be just fine for you. You with your spyder will probably not be able to outshoot the nine. The reason the help is because yes...the push the balls around in the hooper...but the reason this needs to be done is because if nothing is moving the balls will not always drop down the feed tube. The will jam up and not feed and then if the break free and fall down at the wrong time you get a chop. A nine volt would keep things stirring enough to keep you paint flowing and give you less chopping.
