I have a couple of questions about starting a scenario team:

1) How do I go about recruiting players (I'm not looking for the best players, just players who are willing to have fun and uphold the image of paintball, which is in my opinion, what paintball is all about :) ).

2) How many people should I have on my team?

In addition, any general advice would be appreicated.

I realize that starting a team and keeping them together won't be an easy task, but it is something I am willing to give a shot and if it fails, I will try again and attempt to learn from my mistakes.

Most standard tourny teams have 3, 5 or 10 people for the tourny. There are also 7 man ones but are not as commen. You will also have to have a back up player or 2.

Uhhh..just thought I'd point this out counterfeit, I said SCENARIO team not tourney team ;).

I wouldn't have enough time to dedicate to tourney play, and besides I've heard that scenario games are a blast, assuming they are well run.

Uh I hate to point this out to you but, I have never heard of people going to scenerios as a team. Usually there are just 2-3 big teams of all the players there at most scenerios.

Actually there are a lot of scenario teams. Bad Monkey is one of them...

Just find a group of friends who want to go to scenario games with you, because that's pretty much what scenario teams are. You dont really NEED one because your team is just gonna get folded into a bigger one anyhow, but just look for people in your area who want to go to these games with you.

just good friends will do the trick, find out if they are who you think they are and pop the question, and this procedure can be used in 2 instances

i would suggest asking your friends to play on your team not marring them rick

Upon reflection...I have started to think about starting a 3 man, possibly a 5 man to start doing some local tournaments. This will get me exposed to what tournament play is all about.

Does anyone have any advice on whats the best way of going about with inital recruiting?
