nasty imulse good idea?

hey my names alex. i'm new to this forum and right now my birthdays comin up and with the money i will get i am looking into buying a new marker. right now i have a 02 stock cocker with a chrome shortened hinge, dye stickies, a chrome cp one piece barrel, a cp micro drp/cp on-off asa (all chrome). i've found out that i'm more of an electro kidna guy so i'm looking and switching over to a nasty if i can get some money. i'm looking at a black/blue polish fade with a vision eye, magnetic trigger, a vert reg, and a 12 in. front on the custom freak that comes with it. does this sound like a good setup for a front player? and is the vision eye really worth the money? please help me out and if you are interested in my cocker i can show you pics its been completely stripped, cleaned, and oiled after every day of play and i'm selling it with a black 12v revvi w/ x-board for $450. if you have any questions or want pics of it email me at amrocker50@hotmail.com

Ya that sounds like a great setup. Personally i'd pass on Vision and get the WAS board. The WAS board (Actually called the Equalizer board, made by WAS) is also an anti chop eye, with a higher rate of BPS, and it prevents FSDO as well. I myself may get the WAS board, but I have all aftermarket great internals, and I set my bolt pressure pretty low, so I hardly chop, so I may not get it.

But also look into the RJRs, 03 Rats, and Michigan Rats from www.e-paintballoutlet.com , they are all in the generally same price range.

Good choice. I believe that regular cockers are fading out, in a couple years your not gonna see a cocker without an eblade.

thanks alot ill check into that WAS board. what is fsdo? i've seen it alot but i duno what its an abbreviation for. and how would you make an impy low pressure? i know you can get an lpr kit but what parts would be best and how would i do it myself? if you know any good sites that would be great:D. or if u could tell me. and would my pmi 68/45 work good with an impy? some people have told me crossfires are better for them. thanks-alex

If you click on the FAQ they will tell you about FSDO. That setup does sound good but also what hockeyfreak said earlier, check out Rats from www.e-paintballoutlet.com. They are very customizable and e-paintballoutlet(epbo) has very low prices and OUTRAGOUSLY good customer service(best in the world IMO) and don't forget they install and test everything to make sure it works. I like RATS more than Nastys just because of personal preference but Nasties are still great guns.

FSDO = First shot drop off, when you take a shot and the fps is real low, sometimes the ball doesn't even make it out of the barrel, but the next shots come out normally.

Imps are really already low pressure, getting an LPR usually will let you run your input pressure higher too.

Some good upgrades are an LPR like the Evil Respirator or a Jackhammer II, many other good ones as well. Also you may want to look into the NDz Hammer assembly w/ Rat hole and slik shot package on EPBO (Ndz hammer cap, Ndz hammer assembly, Ndz slik shot ram shaft, Rat hole hammer), and you may want to look into the NDz Rip Valve. If you got all of those, you will have great internals and nothing else inside the marker to upgrade, but it's alot of money.

And your tank will work find with the Imp, Crossfire tanks would be no better.

And to freakkffactory - The WAS board IS coming out, some people from the EPBO team already have them, hence it's coming out, they are just making us wait so it comes out perfect.

where do you find those internals upgrades? and on your toxic impy, how did you get the I frame annoed like the marker? and if i got all of those internals, would it be worth the money? and what pressure does your nasty run at? thanks=alex

The I frame came used on the marker, it was my friend's. I guess the previous owner got it custom annoed.

And the internals will help, currently I run my LPR at 100psi and my Max Flow at 200psi, and my dwell is around 5 and I haven't chopped since because my bolt pressure is low. And the consistency seems pretty good, haven't really counted how many shots I get though.

ya my friend has a evil delrin bolt and its night and day compared to the stock bolt. are voodoos as good as evils? how many more bps can u get with the WAS board?

2. the WAS isnt about fastness (ok, it is) its all about the eye.... its SOOOOOOO much better.... cuz once again, sp eye=crap

Yup that is correct.

And ya the Evil bolt isn't too fly, VooDoos are better. And I think the WAS board does like 35 or something I forget but it doesn't metter because you can't cap it anyways.
