no i haven had it happen but i know your prob

your power tube has too much stress on it
the tank is aking it move and putting stress on it because it screws directly into the x-chamber

also it is binding in the frame of the gun the only thing i could tell you is get a new x chamber and a drop forward or

get a drop forward and a Lapco ASA adapter (like oyu would use for a remote setup) and put it in your x-chamber

and that should fix your problem

No this problem started happening when I got my Full Boar... could that be the problem?

I hope it isn't, I love my Full Boar

I've been hearing a lot of complaints about this lately. I believe Tippmann must have made a bad batch of powertubes lately.

The full boar is probably not the problem, you're still using the same spring and bolt as you did without it. Though the RVA might put some tension on the spring, it shouldn't be so much that the rear bolt will shoot in and crack the powertube.

If anything, call up tippmann, and ask for a powertube. They will send it and you'll get it within the week. Usually free of charge.

**Oh, I just realized the Intruder X-chamber. Isn't that the one where the tank screws right into it?

Yeah, the tank screws right into bottom of it.

I think I am going to get the intruder assault using a 12 oz. and will that x chamber cause the power tube to crack? also the powertube is the thing ya screw the vertical adapter in, right?

Yeah you screw it into the vertical adapter

Overall, I highly do not recommend even bothering with an expansion chamber. Just get a regulator.

Best one for CO2 use is the Stabilizer. However, if that is too expensive, then something as simple as Tippmanns' new regulator, or an AA Vigilante will work fine.

A regulator will not only give CO2 room to expand like an X, but it will also help make your shots more consistent resulting in better accuracy and a good amount of pressure going into the gun (meaning no powertube and valve being over pressurized).

Hey Meph, have you seen or tried the new Tippman reg? I was thinking about getting one but I didn't know if it was any good.

It's a PMI Pure Energy reg. Yes, they are good.

All those nitro upgrades are from PMI, just with the Tippmann name put on them and a slightly higher price.

Really... what are the advantages of using HPA or Nitrogen?

uhhh, wit a nice gun like that u should not keep the stock powertube or front bolt.replace it wit a psyco ballistics stainless steel power tube and front bolt.that will NEVER crack. And it has a life time garuntee.its 50$ on paintballgear.com look under gun parts and accessories and go to tippmann, then go to model 98 not 98 custom.dont worry they will fit both guns.

and on the topic of nitro it does nothin on a tippy wita stock inturnals cuz it runs on to high of pressure.the lo pressure unit is 119.99.quote A RIPPOFFF
