1. Is it worth it to get a torbo shocker if you will mainly use the gun for tournys?

2. Will a vertical feed shocker out shoot a 12 volt revy?

3. About how many shots should a shocker 2000 get out of a 68ci 4500 psi Max Flo?

4. Can the gas line from the tank go into the front end of a shocker 2000?

1) No. Most tourneys don't allow turbo. Save your $$ for paint!

2) It could, if most humans could pull the trigger that fast.

3) Uh.......1000 or so. Anybody know for sure?

4) Yes. Just take out the plug and elbow and reverse them. Use blue loctight and wait at least a day for them to dry.

I sure don't know everything about shockers, but from what I have read I wouldn't pay extra for the turbo. If you can get one for a good deal fine, but buying new I would stick with Semi auto. The 98-2000 shocker sport can be converted to a shocker s/f just by adding a 3 dollar switch from radio shack. They have the exact same board, the switch is just missing. A little soldering and you have full auto, and 3 shot burst. The mod I would do would be to get a regular semi sport, and add an monemtary push button switch to the full auto section of the board. Requires some drilling and soldering, but then you would have a semi gun with a small button either in the grip frame or on the side of the gun, that when held down makes the gun full auto. Better than a turbo because you can come out of a bunker in full auto. With a turbo it takes a sec to kick in.
I think the only reasons to buy a vertical feed is if you find yourself shooting at extreme angles (tilting gun left and right alot). The do feed more reliably, but its just a matter of how you shoot. Properly used an regular feed will work great and cost you a lot less.

Just a little info on the 12v revy. The 12v rev can feed a a rate of about 12.5 balls a second. The shockers maximum electronic rate of fire is about 12 balls per second so generally you will not outshoot your rev but if you are severely tilting your gun and shooting at extreme angles well thats a different story but for most of the time you will not out shoot your loader. And halliday I think is pretty close in saying it will shoot 1000 rounds from a 68cu 4500psi. I would have said around 900 but it may vary a bit depending on your bolt and firing settings.

Also I have turbo on mne and its fun to use when I'm playing senario games but that is really its only use seeing as you can't use it really in anything important. I havn't used it in a long time. I have just been trying to focus on learning how to shoot fast without the turbo.

And Halliday was right about putting the macro line in the front of the gun so I have nothing to say there.

Mounting your air inlet in the front if the Shocker is the way to go. I have my maxflo mounted vertically with the air in the front of the gun. My shocker is now shorter, and you have less macroline to run (and leak). I also moved my pressure blowout valve from my maxflow to the rear of my shocker where the rear air inlet goes. Makes the reg into a nice foregrip. Everyone is different, but I have found this to be my favorite shocker setup.

Mine is pretty much the same as yours archer. Who needs to buy a gadget grip and still have the maxflo right on the bottom of your 45 grip.

I agree c4pyro. Call me crazy, but I think the max-flo works better in the vertical position. There is less chance that you will get liquid in your reg. I never liked the looks or feel of the gadget grip. Its just mounted too far back. If I had to get a grip, I think I would go for the hypersportworks grip. It looks pretty trick. I would like to have my gauge mounted in a diff spot sometimes. I'm thinking of moving it around to the right side of the gun so it won't be in the way so bad.

There is also the fact that if you are still using co2 it has to travel from your asa and through your macro line and then it goes into the maxflo. It just gives it that extra fraction of a second to expand and change from a liquid into a gas. I personally don't like the look of the hypersportworks grip but in comparison to the gadget it is far better in that it is farther forward giving you a better hold to balance the marker. I personally am gonna just stay with my vert reg but for functionality purposes the hyper is better then the gadget.

One other thing abut having the maxflo on the bottom of the grip is that if you take a dive and you land a little hard guess which part of the gun takes the hit....you guessed it ...the maxflo. They are very durable but why put it through things that will only shorten its life span.

Here's mine. It's easy to do. The 2"x 1/8 NPT cost about $1.00 at Home Depot.

Nice Halliday. I love mods like that. Go to the hardware store, and let your mind start working.
I'm working on a homemade powerfeed/air assist right now. All parts from Lowes and a hobby shop for around $6.

Did you come up with that yourself? I saw a similar mount on wermmods, but couldn't figure out how they were mounting the reg. Probably the same way!

I saw a guy on the web with the same deal. A certain online paintball store sells the pipe for $6.00!!

It has 2 90deg elbows, the tube and the macroline fitting. I recently upgraded to SS hose. Now it's a quick-disconnect and the SS hose right out of the bottom. It's cool. It looks very professional with that SS hose.

I don't know exactly how the wermmod is, but mine cost alot less.

I also have a 75 cent brass thread saver I got at HD too!

Just think it through. You might have all the part you need, other than the pipe from Home Depot. How do you want the hoses? Straight out? At an angle?

In that pic, all I have is:

the 2" pipe
90deg elbow
(Max-Flow)
90deg elbow
macroline fitting

You mght have the elbow and fittings already!

I even tried to rig up a quick-release between the marker and reg. It was too tight a fit, but a diff style of q-r might work.

The pipe is in the small bins in the Plumbing dept. Buy a couple diff lenghts. I use a 2"x1/8 NPT. I have a 1.75" too but it's not quite long enough.
