What barrels can i get to fit for the Maverick/Hornet?
I heard that a J&J Ceramic barrel would work on the marker (got this info from some post somewhere) and wanted to buy one from this site
http://stalkerpb.com/catitem1.cfm?itemid=248
but i don't know what option to pick under the "marker" option drop box.
Are there any other markers that have the same threads as the Maverick/Hornet so i can choose the correct Barrel.

The answer you got in the pump forum is the best answer I could give you.

Paint Ball lover does not sell the Maverick/Hornet/Trracer J&J Ceramic Barrels anymore here are some other sites that may have them.

These places should both carry a 12" and 14" barrel.

I tried to buy one from there and a day after i orderd it i got an e-mail that says
"This item has been out of stock for sometime. Sorry for the inconvience."
Perhaps the will get new stock sooner or later, so my previous post can be wrong. I guess all i know is couldn't get one from there. :|
If you want alternatives to paintballlover they are in the other post. :)

kif you want a J&J Ceramic, get it straight from J&J, it's a little marked up, but it's there.

Barrel Problems!
Watch out, If you have a hornet i do not suggest jsut going out and buying a barrel. I recently bought a J&J Ceramic 14" for my hornet and it turns out that the barrel gets in the way of the under cocking arms.
To clarify, the undercocking arms of the hornet travel in grooves in the marker at the bottom. The arms in these grooves travel forward into the barrel area. On the stock barrel there is a small indention near the threads that allow the undercocking arms to slide forward into the barrel. Unfortuneatly, the J&J ceramis does not have this indention so the cocking arms just rub up agains the barrel and tend to stick a bit.
So if you have a hornet, watch out for this if you want a new barrel, be prepared to have to mill it. :|
And if anyone has a quck fix to this please tell me!

dremel + tons of time? Maybe over time it will wear itself out and will work better.

I ordered the Taso Eliminator 12" for the Maverick from paintball-international.com but they haven't sent me any shipping information or responded to any of my emails so I'm a little ticked off. I'm hoping it arrives soon though...so I can go do some shooting with it.

Bah! I'm the Mag barrel King... 3 barrels total for it: J&J Ceramic, 32 Degrees "Eliminator", and the Armson Stealth

What barrels would you recommend? I'm trying to decide between a J&J Ceramics or an Armson Stealth (already gave up on the Taso Eliminator).

Although i haven't tried the Armson Stealth, I'd have to say the J&J Ceramic is pretty damn good. Unfortuneately it dosen't do good for me all the time (see my Barrel Problems! post) but when it works its accurate and alot quiter than the stock barrel.

do mav's have their own barrel threads? and does smart parts make an all american for it?
FriedRicE

Yes, the Mav/Hornet/Trracer all share a barrel thread that is different from any other marker. If you want to find a barrel see the second post in ACI Faq. And as far as i know, Smart Parts hasn't made a barrel that will fit it.
I wish ACI would create a barrel adaptor :(
See this thread of a few barrel's

well i'm wondering because i just bought a used maverick pump, and it comes with a whole bunch of upgrades, and apparently the stock barrel and a i quote "16 inch AA". Now from what i have learned AA means all american? am i confused:confused:
AA = All American :)
Evil - Are you sure? I have 2 ACI barrels (11.5 and 13.5) a 10" boomie, and the stock 8" ;) Plus two barrels for my F4, one for my Tigershark... I think I'm doing pretty good :p

Aww shucks, thank you... ;)
Yup, I'd agree you're doin well with the mav+barrel help. Usually folks ask about em around online and I send them here. This forum's got the most info saved up from folks like you :)

I have both the 14" J&J Ceramic and the 16" Armson Stealth. Personally, I like my J&J better. :)
