People keep talking about cup seals and where exactly is it on my 98c and what exactly does it do???? I probably know it by a different name.

no not really.
I'm geussing below you bolt.... barrel end in front of the striker
. it should be near you valve, valve spring and valve guide. just look for those things and I think you should probobly find it. (mabye)
try the tippman forum for it's exact location.

98's are inline, not stacked tube design. There's only one "tube"
It seals your valve from the air pressure from the tank. The rear bolt hits the valve pin, and releases air into your front bolt, fireing the gun.
It is inside your valve, you will need to take it apart to get to it.
