Alright so I have my 98c and I like it a lot. I chose the Tippmann 98c because it wasnt too pricey and from what I heard it's a good gun backed by a good name. So now that I have been paintballn' for a year now and it's getting more and more competitive, I believe it's time to trick out my gun a little. So here is my 1st question...
What is the best order to spend my money on upgrades???
From friends... this is what has been reccomended...
1st. Flatline
2nd. Comp Air system
3rd. Electonic Hopper
4th. E bolt
2nd Question...
Is the E-bolt worth the dough? Or do I go RT?

1. New barrel not the flatline...
2.nitro combined with upgrade 3 is awsome
3.regulator
4.if u really need to get an rt or e-bolt
5.if u really want upgrade 4 then u need a new faster hopper
Can add little thing like double trigs or RVA or a rear cocking...
I never accually got to use either of them but just because of what i do know i'd rather have the RT mainly because i dont like electronics to much stupid batterys and such... its all mainly up to you..

if u want ur stuff to last i wouldnt suggest getting the flat, line, and its way overpriced, comp air is good, i dont think the e-bolt is a good investment but the rt is, and a electronic hopper is always good:D

Screw the flatline, but get a new barrel, like an AA or something. A nice comp air system is good for any gun, get like a nice 68 3000. A nice hopper is good too, because that and a nice HPA tank you can put them on another gun if you wanted to get a higher end gun, an E-bolt.. well.. if you know your not going to upgrage guns for a while, get it, if not, your better off saving for a high end gun.

1st. Flatline
No, not worth 100$ Don't waste your money
2nd. Comp Air system
Not your first priority but a good idea if you have the cash
3rd. Electonic Hopper
This should be one of your top priorities
4th. E bolt
not worth it either, I think
New list:
1.Barrel
2. Hopper
3. Nitro
4. Up to you really
2nd Question...

RT over E-bolt

Ok another question here. I have heard wonderful things about the Flatline System, but all the replies thus far have downed it pretty hard. why? i know all of you know what your tlaking baout so I'm not going to second guess anyone.
So what barrel SHOULD I go for?
>>>once again all help is appreciated<<<

Flatline's vary from person to person. Some people like it, some don't. The main complaint is that is has pretty bad accuracy.Although giving you extra range, most of the time you'll be too close to the opponent to take advantage of it.
Plus, they're hard to take apart, and they cost way too much.
As for other barrels, as I told you before, look at the sticky in these forums. But, since you're too stupid to go look, I'll just give them to you.
Some good barrels in your price range include:
J&J Ceramic
Lapco Bigshot
Dye Excel
CP 1 piece
Smart Parts Tear Drop or All American
And some others

Your upgrades should reflect what type of player you are and what type of game you play. Woods players will like the range of the flatline but speedball players don't really need it. Are you a stealty player that wants accuracy or is firepower more important? Are you on a budget or do you have $500 to spend?
It sounds to me like you're still on a budget, so here's a good upgrade course based on budget.
1. Barrel Ditch the flatline idea and get a good economic barrel. CP barrels are very good for the price of $40. J & J Ceramic are also good. The brand doesn't really matter so long as you dont spend an outrageous amount. Read the reviews on this site so you pick a good barrel in your price range.
The next upgrade depends if you want more accuracy or if you want firepower:
2. Firepower get a double trigger and an Empire Reloader Hopper ($50). The Reloader is the cheapest yet one of the best electronic hoppers around.
3. Accuracy from more consistant air Don't waste all that money on HPA. You'll spend about $400 upgrading to HPA. Instead buy a regulator such as Palmer Stabilizer($75) and get an anit-syphon put in your Co2 tank ($15 at a pro shop). This will give you near HPA consitancy without the cost.
Hope this helps

Well, that's a crap tank only worth about 500 shots or so. For a decent tank, he'll have to shell out at least $200. Correct me if I'm wrong, but he'll have to buy a secondary regulator also. Then hell have to buy the low pressure kit for his 98c, that's $100 at least. Also, it will probably be wise for him to buy a drop forward and possibly an on/off, that's another $50 or so bucks.
So yes, it's a lot more than $80

I have a 14" freak jr for my Tippmann custom and it works really good. And the freak system is real reliable.

Basically with a Flatline you're sacrificing accuracy for range.
