Hi folks,
this is my first post, i want to get into the game. I don't know anyone who is into paintball so I was wondering if joining a team would be a good way to start out. I wont of course participate in the tourneys but learning from the people that know seems like the way to go.
Thanks for any help. Email me directly if you can.
Michael
PS I'm in west palm beach, FL

Try going to your local field and playing a few games to get you started, see if your into the game. If you like it, thats great for you! Just try not to be an idiot while your playing.

Welcome to the world of paintball.
So you wanna learn to play, join a team, and play in some tourneys? Well first i would suggest getting better. If you have never played before play a few times and see how you like it. After you know that you like it and have all your gear, go to your local field and play more, working on your skills and learning more about the game. Remember, DON'T BE AFRAID TO ASK QUESTIONS. This is the most important part of the learning process. If your not sure about something ask an experienced player, they will be glad to help you. If they aren't, well then they are not worth your time. there will always be someone willing to answer your questions, whether it be at the field or here on PBreview.
So once you have become more skilled at the game and have all your gear you may want to try out for your local team. Find out when their try-outs are and just go and play your best. If you don't make it the first time don't worry about it try again. If they see you are persistent and really want to play they will reward you for that. Once you make the team take the time to learn from your teammates. Get to know them better and become friends with all of them. Look at Dynasty, They are all good friends and that contributes to their success. Once you are all friends and you have gotten good enough it will be time for your first tourney. Ill let someone else take it from here since im not the expert on tourneys.
So remember to get better, Ask questions, and have fun.

you may not want to be on a team then if you aren't ready for tourneys. i'd suggest finding some people at a local field & play with them & make it like a regular thing to play with those people. that's not really a team persay but it gets you into that team atmosphere & you'll learn a lot of the same things that you'd need to know BEFORE being on an official team. lots of watch-n-learn, trial-n-error stuff to go through.

ask around...ask your friends and their friends friends etc and try to find other people who play for fun. You would be surprised how many people play. I live in a small town and didnt know anyone who played then one day my brothers friend said he has a paintgun and then we started calling around and before we knew it we found 20 people who play for fun and most of us were all beginners and still learning. We then found woods to play in and got permission from the landlord. Thats how we all got started :) ...oh and if you find enough people to play set teh rules right away and play smart. ALWAYS keep the mask on and if you see someone trying to show off with thier mask off thinking they are cool playing then kick them out and dont call them when you play again.
