I was thinking about getting a custom jewel, what should i get?

thats sweet richy, i'd cut out the fly and make something sweet on photoshop are you getting a jewel or battery door? i've got a destructo (skateboard company) sticky where jewels normally go. haha you gatta hear this story about what happened at the field yesterday, he's the script of exact words

Okay, heres a little something for you guys... I will make jewels for people for free. Not only that but I will also tell you how to make your own as well. These things are rediculously easy to do. The hardest part is waiting 24 hours for the stuff to dry out, but it beats days or weeks waiting on a delivery. Can you mix 2 liquids together and pour them onto a piece of paper? Well, there's your jewel. I swear it. When I get home from work tonight I will put a new post up with the stuff you need to buy. I got it from Michaels arts and crafts here in Dallas TX, and should be easily found at any arts and crafts store. It costs less than $10 for the materials, and you would have enough for about 50+ bushy stickers. Got a team? now you can all have team logo jewels for your equipment. Do whatever you want. I used Printmaster gold and got GREAT results. I cant wait to see what the Corel Draw V.10 I just got is going to be able to do. All you need is a PC with a decent color printer. Hell Ive turned decent stuff out of Microsoft Paint for pete's sake!! Don't waste your money buying one, make your own jewels....;)

I'll post instructions and a material list tonight. I only have the sizing specs for the bushmaster, so I wouldn't know what size to make for the others. Its easy though... When you see how to do it you will wonder why anyone ever bothers to pay for someone else to do it....

If you dont have decent color printer available to you I will be glad to do the work for ya, just let me know what you want. Looks like I'll have a good reason to start tinkering with Corel tonight...

well if you only wanna get one jewel then why pay 10 when you can pay 5, i suppose if you make multiple it'll pay off. what about the rest of the battery door? do you just pull the old one off? i'm not sure if i wanna get the lion , keep the vapor one when i get vapor, or get a team jewel. you are talking about the jewel on the battery door right?

i have a 3rd gen, so i dont have a batt. door . . . can i just peel off the old one and put on a new one? could i just put the new one on the other side? i finsihed my design and it came out really cool, but it is a adobe photo shop file, and i dont know how to make it a normal jpg or sumthin . . . do u have adobe photoshop? if not i will have my bro help me change the file type . . .

to change the file from a psd to jpeg(or what ever you want) just when you're saving the file, below the name select the format you want

Sorry about the lenth of time it took to post this, Got busy with projects here and had to back burner it for a bit. Okay now for the fun stuff...


What you will need:

1) Scissors
2) Glossy paper for your printer
3) EnviroTex lite pour on high gloss finish (blue box)

What you need to do:

1) Create your design on a PC or you can find a pic you like and cut it to fit.

2) Get a plastic cup and pour equal amounts of the resin and hardener together. You dont need too much, so just use enough to fill the bottom of the cup.

3) pour the mix onto the cut out slowly and it will flow to the edges of the paper backing and stop before it drips off.

Cover the decal with a box so that dust wont get on it. 24 hours to cure and you are done. Use a rubber cement to glue the sticker in place on your gun.

Like I said... easy.

One other thing...I saw a set of grips that were made out of computer chip boards by either Doc or punisher customs using this technique, so dont think the usage ends at the jewels...

I don't mind making some, but I have to be honest, My better half and I just had a house built, and time can be a bit of a luxury. I can however do a few here and there. Richy, Simon, Venom, you guys are first in line and I will only commit to a few at a time (sorry). Mostly it's because I hate to tell people I can give them something and then nor be able to deliver. I will however keep those who post in mind and do what I can to get you what you need. Just keep in mind.... the process is EASY and you can do all kinds of neat stuff. Grips, jewels, whatever. Hmmmm... SOme american flag grips for the bush might be cool......

Okay. I also had one other idea where the "Vapor BM2K" in the back would look different, But I cant try it until I get home. I'll post it for you to check out tonight. Then you can choose one, pick a color (You used green in your image so I figured green was a good place to start) and I should be able to pour tonight. 24 hours later its ready for mail.

No prob... Always glad to help out a fellow "baller". Oh, BTW, You jewel is poured and drying. I will send it out to you friday morning. When you get it, It may look a little lighter than what you saw here. That is intentional and it will get darker when you mount it on your gun. Don't know why that is, but when I did my jewel (pictured below) it was almost too dark after I attatched it to the gun. Use a knife to work a corner of the old sticker loose and peel it off with your hand. You can use rubber cement to mount the new one in it's place.

I think I'm gonna work on a set of american flag grips for the bushy next....

How do you design these jewels? Just wonderin'... I think I have my Bushmaster on the way here, so I'm thinkin' 'bout maybe getting a new jewel rather than the "Bushmaster 2000" with the snake. :D

I'm just starting to mess with adobe photoshop and I'm trying to get the hang of how it all works. it's a pretty big, but very cool program. I'm also getting corel draw V.10 to try out as well to see which I like better. But to tell you the truth... The two you see pictured above were done with Print shop 5.0 (I think you can get it at Sam's for about $20) and the jewel is printed with an Epson color 640 inkjet printer with HP (heavy) Glossy photo paper. Once that part is done, it's just mix, pour, cure and mail...

Went to a really nice wedding this weekend in Oklahoma City. Had a really good time. Anyway, Venom.... OOPS!!!
