AA Vigilante and PMI Pure Energy regs

I've heard the AA Vigilante and PMI Pure Energy regulators are not recommended for CO2. Is this true? I was considering purchasing one of them but now I am not sure if I should since I will be using CO2.

The Vigilante cannot be used with Co2, cuz the o rings will freeze up. The Vigilante is solely for N2, although the PMI Pure Energy reg can be used with Co2.
