Decent store, decent prices, not a very wide selection though.

It would help if you showed the prices with tax.

I'm adding stuff everyday. It takes awhile to add stuff to the page. As far as taxes are concerned, only GA residents have to pay them. I make the page with a template so it automatically shows the price without tax.

BTW...free shipping on your first order, minus paint...thanks alot

not much selection, as far as hihg end things go. the only nitro tanks you had are crossfire and PE, the only regs are PE. and $580 for a bushmaster?!?!?! whats up with that?!

Sudden Impact
09-01-2001, 10:20 PM
The bushmaster is the LCD model...that is why it costs more than a normal bushmaster...as far as selection...see my last post...

$725 for an STO is not a hot deal. you can black magics for that much.

on average most of your marker upgrades are about $10 more than the competition, defineatly need to lower the price on the macroline kits, www.countypaintball.com has them with all 3 color hoses and 2 fittings of your choice for $10

some of the stuff (the angels) seem like they are competively priced, but overall i wouldn't buy from your store because i can easily find the same products elsewhere for cheaper.

um, ok, guys, starting businesses.. they can't give you hugely great deals, they gotta get a name first. then the lower prices, Impact, its not bad.

On the other hand, I have a few ideas for you for helping you grow, sorta involving http://www.pbod.net . We could also help with any logos etc that you may need. Gimme an email, skiboard@rcn.com , if you've got any interest.

Alright thanks alot for all the comments and suggestions. I am in the process of taking pictures and adding them. First Ive got to take a picture of it, then resize, then add it to the page. It's alot of work. Prices will start going down when I start getting more business, but like unknown said, Ive gotta make a name for myself first.

The price on the 68 stub (something I need) is too high for sure. Most places (when you can find it) sell them for about 118. However, like everyone says, prices will go down over time. You have a good price on Squadbusters, though I personally haven't used them and have no desire to. I reccomend adding some of those really cool telescoping squeegees that iisports has in their "specials" section. I know I'd buy one if the S&H weren't so damn much. Also, if you can get someone to custom make this product (everyone needs one in my opinion), you'd be the only store to carry it;
You know how they put sight rails right behind a vertical feed or powerfeed and make it worthless? My idea would be something that slides on your sight rail that gives it dual sight rails, you know, the offset ones on either side, so you can actually put a scope, point dot or whatever sight on the marker and/or just plain sight with it. I know I've been trying to get one of these made for a long time and no one wants to gmble on it. If you can get just ONE made, I'll buy it from you.
Just my thought. You could actually build aname for your store by carrying these if people liked 'em.
Back to the page- I'd also make the page easier to navigate, try having the paintball items subtitled (like air, guns, squeegees etc) on the left in a kind of bar menu. That way you can go straight to what you want. I'd also start carrying Spyder barrels. A LOT of people buy boomsticks for their Spyder.
Hope I helped.

Nice start, easy to load on w/ 28k modem. I take it the equipment you are currently selling is popular in your region?

The picture thing is good, I know many people who purchase junk just because it "looks cool."

I also agree with a previous post about placing any general knowledge of the product next to it. The bore size on the barrels is a great idea! I am always matching paint to my barrels because I have a small bore. (this would have been nice to know when I purchased the barrel.)

One thing in general I saw as a negative is the quote on every item: "Price without taxes." This is something that should fall in the checkout area and should be stated once instead of on every item. (+ it will eliminate time when adding new products.)
It's also kind of discouraging (to me).

Not sure why you have a help link on there if it doesn't do anything.

Also the search menu was less than helpful. Under the Name Description box you might try a drop down box for items that people can just click on instead of finding a "item not found" page.
Also are you tracking what people are putting in the name description box? This might help you determine what items to carry in the near future. Especially if one or two items are popping up on every query.

I hope these suggestions help, they are only supposed to be constructive suggestions and I hope you are not discouraged by them. I do have experience in designing web pages and in the information systems field. :) I hope you are able to make good with all the suggestions people are sending you. Good Luck!

pretty decent, does need to grow to catch up with all the other big stores though.

I really like the name. It's catchy. I like the selection, but you could make a killing on spyder/piranha packages, dude, and that thing about ratings on pbreview is an excellent idea.

2k1 vert feed cocker: average rating 9.1(or whatever it happens to be) 131 reviews(something along those lines)

I'll be contacting you about a black magic in december so make sure as hell you have a christmas, ultimate something for nothing sale or something like that. And make sure you have plenty of blue ones. I'll do it just cause you seem cool and I want to help a paintball bussiness grow. Not to mention I am a huge fan of free shipping! These guys on the net, I believe pbgear charged me 10 freaking dollars for shipping on a stupid bolt. Just the bolt for crying out loud!

Sell a lot of package deals, those are the number one best seller is any paintball ready to play package over the net, people really turn to the net after seeing local prices and no packages at the local store. After the package it is all just small upgrades they can pick up at the local store for the same price you have them and not have to pay shipping, so a shipping deal on smaller items might be something to consider. I don't know though, it's up to you. I hate minimum orders of 25-50 dollars, but they may be neccessary, i have no business degree, just speaking as a consumer. I wanted four pods off a sight, but nothing else, grand total: 16 dollars, not enough for the minimum order of 25 bucks. I ended up paying 22 dollars for them at the local store, sucks.

MOST IMPORTANTLY: COD

Make sure you allow cod orders, I won't order any other way. I have no credit card, no checking account, like a lot of other paintballers. (sure they are all half my age, but what the hell)

Pictures are being added everyday(still working on it, lot of work actually) and about that tax thing, I use a template for the store, so I dont have much choice. Only GA residents pay tax anyway.

Thanks for all the replies and suggestions. Sorry it took so long to reply!

If i was you, i would offer some sort of discount on the lines of "opening sale" or just some discounts for people of this forum.
I think we would all buy from your store if you had some sort of discount program. and i know i would spred the word if you did.

just some insight.
