I looked at the barrel reviews andI looked at the paint/barrel charts to see what barrel is good with the paint i use (pmi premium) and still could only narrow my choices down to the following:
Lapco Bigshot
Smart Parts Smart Stainless
Smart Parts Teardrop
Multiple switch barrel
If you could please help me, rate these barrels for:
1. Accuracy
2. Range
3. Durability
4. Quietness?(is that a word?)
-Just put the name of the barrel you think is the best for each category
Ex. 1. Multiple switch
2. Bigshot
3. Smart Stainless
4. Smart Stainless
THANKYOU

Bigshot somewhat loud though
Bigshot
Bigshot
Bigshot

Out of those I would choose a Bigshot.
Bigshot
Accuracy - Great
Range - Great
Durability - Great
Quietness -
The bigshot Is pretty loud due to the lack or porting. Overall IF you want quietness I would recommend getting a Custom products one piece barrel or a 32 Degrees Terminator.

IMO - BIG SHOT!!!! i have owned one on both of my guns and the own!!! with pmi premium its like shootin darts, i can lay shots on shots. not the quietest but definatley one of the most accurate. and FYI every barrel is going to have the same "range" (unless its a flatline) bu those are inaccurate

Yeh they'll have about the same accuracy if you have the right paint match with it.

I'm looking for a gun thats accurate and easy to maintain. I thought i would get a spyder xtra. But i don't know a lot about guns though. Is there a gun that is within 200 - 300 $ that is better than this one in terms of accuracy and reliability?

This isnt the right forum to ask the question, but anyways since you already asked the question I would suggest a Spyder Xtra or If you want to save a little more money like about 50 Get a Worrgames vert feed autococker for $340! at acepaintball.com

Your first upgrade for any gun Should be a barrel. Go to the blowback forum to ask about questions on what type of gun you should get for blowback markers.
u sure? a spyder xtra is like 160 and a cocker is 340 ... how do u save 50 bucks? im confused

I posted that reply about a month or two ago so they must have lowered the price on the extra and barely lowered the price on the autococker.

That review is completely biased against dye. Although they don't openly admit this they state that dye REFUSED to send them barrels to test, so they ONLY used an old 10"aluminum DYE for the test. Everyone is always SPOUTING about the mouth saying their lapco is better than a boomstick because a test showed a new bigshot performed better than an old DYE aluminum 10". Maybe if some PHOOLS bothered reading the article you would get it straight.
In one review they don't even mention what DYE barrel they were using. They just casually mention it was a 12"barrel. What type of great informative breakthrough test is this. Anyone with half a brain would blow holes the size of Texas in that pathetic excuse for a review.

The facts are that DYE barrels are overpriced and that many consumers are finding that they can get good quality barrels for much less, and having additional money left over from not buying a DYE, to get other upgrades or accessories.

If you want a really good barrel, but don't want to pay for a Boomy, get a SP AA, its so close to the boomy, but for much less. If you can't afford the AA, get a bigshot, or a cp.

I've seen SP AA barrels for 49 bucks, at that price it gets my vote.
