After I got the sidewinder, I still notice velocity spikes. Will replacing the LPR with a Micro Rock fix this?

i cant say yet, tommorw i'll chrono and see how consistent i am. but i figure it will take at least a case to break it in. i'll report back here to let u know what i was at. i did notice how fast it recharged though:)

sorry to clutter up your thread just answering jt's question and I am done. I can't remeber what it is called but it is red, and has a button that you push, and beeps when you go over 300. I know it isn't cheap, I have seen them online for $300. 10000:1 that will happen again but at least it happened once!

First of all, you want to lube up your marker.

If the regs aren't lubed correctly, then you'll get bad consistency.

Also, if you have the BKO, it COULD be because of the LPR.
I've heard some bad things about the stock LPR.

But before you go ahead and buy the Zenitram ASA Block and LPR, I say you lube up your marker first.

well i'm sure it still isnt broken in yet, but when i first chrono'd it was like 284, 276, 283, 266, 284
then for some reason during the day my fps dropped to 255, after resetting it i was a little better, but not really at 284,279,283,273, 280, i figure a couple more weekands and it will be good.

To make your BKO FPS more constant try setting your regs like this.

First adjust your HPR to 200psi.
Next use your LPR to reach your desired FPS.
When you get to the desired FPS you can then sweet spot the HPR if you like.
To do this you simply adjust the HPR up until you see the FPS drop.
For example
200psi = 280 fps
205psi = 290 fps
210psi = 292 fps
215psi = 262 fps
When the FPS drops you will want to back the reg off just a bit. This will have the reg sweet spotted for its best preformance.
Then you simply adjust your LPR again to reach your desired FPS.
This is how we adjust the regs on markers we set up and they seem to stay within + or - 5-7 fps stock.
The most recent one I setup with:
Vapor Valve
Vapor Bolt
SP Mod
CP HPR
was + or - 3fps.
This was with the reg seeing less than 1000 shots on it.
Give it a try sometime it works quite well.
By the way once you get the HPR sweet spotted leave it alone and make all your FPS adjustments with your LPR. You shouldnt need to adjust your HPR any further unless you start seeing the velocity drop off. Over time the HPR screw will back out a little and the process will need to be repeated.

Good Luck

ShootPaint, just to make sure...

When you are adjusting the reg to get that FPS drop, do you turn it back so you go back to the higher velocity?

When you get the to the point the FPS drops you will need to turn the reg the oppisite direction until the FPS comes back up. Once the FPS comes back up you will then want to adjust your LPR to reach the desired FPS.

By doing the above process I had a BKO shooting within 1FPS over 50 shoots this weekend!!!

The first shot was 5 fps lower but every shot there after was 285
286
285
285
285
285
285
285

285
285
286

etc....
It works quite well.
We got roughly 1100 shots off of a 68/2500 fill.
I dont know the exact shot count because the marker was passed around between to guys.
One guy said he got a hopper (EVo2 roughly 200 rounds) and 3 pods (roughly 140 each)
The other guy got a hopper (Evo2 again) and 2pods and part of another before running out of air.
