yo, okay my friend mewroq and i have been trying to figure this out. how do u measure the amount of shots per nitro tank? say u have a 4,500psi on a 68cu tank. how do you calculate how many shots u'll get off of that? would u get more shots off a 68cu or a 114 cu if they both have 4,500 psi? nitro is just way to confusing, does anyone have an answer? use a normal nitro output when telling us.

It is really pretty simple.
The Ci stands for cubic inch. That is how big the the tank is. So a 68ci is smaller than a 114ci, it is 46ci's larger so there is more air space.
The psi stands for pounds per square inch. Which is the pressure rating. So a 4500 psi tank's air is more compressed than a 3,000 psi.

well figure it this way 10 shots per 1 ci 3000 psi and 13 shots per ci 4500 psi

so if you figure it this way and mind you many factors come into play but I will assume that the gun is not low pressure and is about average with gas consumption a 47 ci 3000psi would yield 470 shots and at 4500 psi it would yeild 611 and a 68 ci 3000 would be 680 shots , 4500 psi 884
a 88 ci 3000 psi 880 shots , 88 ci at 4500 1144 and a 114ci youd get 1140 shots out of a 3000psi and 1482 out of a 4500
so the real question when considering nitro is does weight matter because generally steel tanks are a bit heavier usually by no more than 1 pound no matter the size of the tank and is the 33 percent increase gained by getting a 4500 psi really worth the extra $$$ furthermore would a tank like the crossfire or pmi pure energy tank suffice for until you decide you want to go low pressure at which point you can buy an aftermarket regulator. Or should you look to buy a tank with an adjustable regulator because your gun already is setup for low pressure. Furthermore if you will be running the tank remote is weight really even a consideration... 1 pound strapped to you back really won't make much of a difference.Sorry for the disretation on nitro considerations..... but for those who don't know it's worth a listen and keep in mind this is a genralization based on many assumptions
