Definately get the N2 tank, revy, dropforward and regulator.
How about using CO2 with a regulator? What would be the best one to buy?

In order of position to get:
1. Barrel - CP, Lapco, SP, DYE, all great choices
2. Grips - DYE sticky grips are of soft rubber and is very comfortable, but any hogue grip, or anything you feel is comfortable, is just fine.
3. 12 volt Revolution - Feeding/chopping problems? No more!
4. Get a double trigger frame if you don't have one, make sure it also has both inline and staggard holes.
4. If you have a double trigger frame but has staggard holes, get an Eclipse, or 32* bottemline converter, it'll make your life much easier with drop forwards, ASAs, etc., etc.
5. Get a trigger job - Polecat Paintball can do a REALLY nice one for $20 + shipping.
6. Remove venturi from the bolt/get a White Wolf teflon delrin bolt/get a Shocktech Delrin Quickstrip bolt and drill out the center
7. Drill out the vertical adapter if you use a compact Spyder/get an AKALMP Compact Mitey-Max
8. Get a turbo valve, any will do, make sure it has an aftermarket valve pin though.
9. Get high flowing hoses, macrolines or steel braided hoses are GREAT, microlines are NOT
10. Polish your bolt (if not delrin) and striker
11. Get a regulator - If you use CO2, get a WGP off somebody with a 'Cocker that doesn't need it anymore for cheap. Even better, look into the Palmer Stabilizer or the AKALMP Sidewinder regs. If you use N2, choose whichever regulator you want, the Vigilante is a really nice one for cheap but performs excellent. The Gladiator reg is a pretty new one, and is also excellent. The flow of the reg is incredible, and is very consistent (The guy I talked to who had one on his 'Cocker shot at 285, 285, 285).
12. Get a Neo Power valve if you're using a standard Spyder
13. Polecat straightfeed or vertical feed body
14. Anything your heart is left to desire :)
You can get practically any barrel at a low cost at http://www.paintballbarrels.com
http://www.g3pb.com has a bunch of stuff, as well as a number of grips, check 'em out
12 volt Revolutions are sold at http://www.predator-paintball.com for like $47.99 in black
You can get different double trigger frames at http://www.g3pb.com
http://www.paintballgear.net carries the bottemline converter for you people trying to get a decent drop forward for those darn staggard holes!
You can get a nice trigger job from Polecat, you can e-mail him at ferret@polecatpaintball.com
To remove the venturi from the bolt, heat up the back of the venturi a bit, then take a nice, good pair of pliers, get a good grip on it, and turn counter-clockwise. The AKALMP Lightning bolt is $52.50 at http://www.g3pb.com
The Shocktech Delrin Quickstrip bolt is $39.99, or something like that at http://www.paintballonline.com (my local store)
Drilling the vertical adapter applies ONLY to the compact Spyders, if you have a standard, skip this part. To drill the vertical adapter remove expansion chambers, regulators, the low pressure chamber, screws of any sort from it. Take the drill, put in the bit that's just slightly larger than the hole that leads into the LPC area. Drill the hole from the opposite side of where the LPC screws in. That way you don't have to mess around with threads and perhaps even mess up the threads of the LPC. After enlargening that hole, take the next larger bit and drill it again. Drill the hole with 3 bits, one just larger than the other. On the bottem where the expansion chamber, gas-through forgrip, or regulator is, don't enlargen that hole. From where the hole is, drill a new hole 90 degrees to the right of where the hole is. After that, drill a hole 90 degrees to the left of where the original hole is. Make sure not to go too far forward, for if you do, you'll mess up the threads to the LPC area.
The AKALMP Compact Mitey-Max can be bought for $52.50 at http://www.g3pb.com
Turbo valves can be bought by your local store, probably. If not, http://www.g3pb.com has some.
I'm sure your local store has different hoses, if not, go scream down their necks telling them to save their money and quit the business. :)
To polish your internals, use 800+ grit sand paper and sand your bolt and striker, DO NOT use coarse sand paper. You want fine grit sand paper so you don't take off too much material. Just sand the two parts until they're shiny, no more, no less.
http://www.predator-paintball.com has a good number of regulators, at GREAT prices. They don't have the Palmer Stabilizer though... The Stabilizer, Gladiator, and Sidewinder can all be bought at http://www.g3pb.com
Again, http://www.g3pb.com carries a great item for you standard Spyder users! The Neo Power valve can be bought from G3PB.
The Polecat straightfeed is basically a mod that changed your feed tube to that of a 'Cockers. It's vented so it minimizes/eliminated blowback. It's great for left handed people as it moves the hopper to the right side, and with it you can finally look over the top of your gun. It's something like $50 + shipping for installation and the black version of the feed, it's around $55 + shipping for installation and the chrome feed. It's nice and it's worth it, in my opinion. They won't rip you by taking your gun and never sending it back either, though the web site isn't the greatest, the work is EXCELLENT. I believe the company email is ferret@polecatpaintball.com. There are two kinds of vertical feed bodies, one is the AKALMP VLM body. The production on those have ceased, however, if you're lucky, you may find one around. They take 'Cocker barrels and 'Cocker ASAs, they take Spyder internals though (duh! :)). They also use the larger strikers, so if you have a compact body Spyder, you have to go get the older kind of striker. AKALMP are making new 2001 VLMs, however, they will not take Spyder trigger frames. They take the Inferno style trigger frames, which at the top of the trigger frame, is flat. The second vertical feed body is the Bob Long one. I believe that they've stopped making the compact ones, meaning if you get a Bob Long vertical feed body, you'll need a standard Spyder vertical adapter, and the larger version striker. I don't know, but there might still be some compact Bob Long vertical feed bodies out there...
