What does it do? Is it useful? I read there was a tippman expansion chamber that perfectly balances out the gun, do all expansion chambers do that ? Are they worth getting? What would be the best type of expansion chamber to put on my Tippman A-5 with a Pro Team Stock, Response Trigger, and flatline barrel?

An xchamber expands the liquid co2 into a gas before it gets to your valve. And the tippman xchamber isnt very good from what i hear as it has two chambers and basiclly the more chambers the better. And for recomendations I'd say get the xcore 8 stage expansion chamber, its only 19bucks on county.

It won't slow down my response trigger will it?

no... if anything it will keep your RT from freezing up after long periods of rapid CO2 use... aka shooting fast for more than just short bursts...

but a cheaper and more effective alternitive to an x-chamber is an anti-siphon tube installed on your CO2 tank...

Yeah it will only help your rt, as I'd say you really shouldnt have an rt without nitro, or if you have co2 anti siphon would be the best alternative. And if you really want to go on the side of safety you could get anti siphon and an xchamber.
