No more gun v gun threads in GBPT

They're seriously getting annoying. Everyday there are 3 new ones, either "Angel vs. Impulse" or "I have 600 dollars what do i get." Just close them. All it is doing is asking questions that have been answered 2800 times in the past. If you made a sticky that said "For info on gun v gun, go to the respective gun forum..." or something to that extent, you could keep that crap out of GPBT. It's really quite rediculous.

yes i deffinetly agree....but tictacs....i bet you so much money, that if mods decided to do your sticky idea we would still have those posts...


cause i know, myself included, havent read every sticky in that forum and in others....but i REALLY STRONGLY encourage the mods to consider this,

but many people dont want to read the stickies. they think its just easier to make a new thread. however it pisses some people off.

it would stop the smart ones though. And then you can yell at them to check the stickies. e-yelling is a lot more fun than typing which gun is better.

Then close the thread. They'll get the idea pretty fast. For example, since PBN instituted this, their paintball talk is actually worth reading. Meph did an awesome job there.

The thing about stickies is simply this: you make a thread good enough and Mags my boy will sticky it.

It's still not going to completely eliminate the problem.

Mack made a HUGE one over in kingman, and we still get many threads.

Just got to learn to live with it. If it pisses you off, dont post in it :|

That's what i'm talking about. I've seen numerous things like the guy above me is talking about. Why can't a MOD do his job that he was assigned to do?

Because they're too busy sifting through the BS and spam. I don't know if you noticed but we're a little short on mods at the moment. The ones that are here are doing the best they can. So how about helping instead of complaining. If you see something that you think should be stickied send a mod a PM and ask and try to give a good reason why it should be stickied. They'll check it out. If it's worthy it will be. If it's not it won't.

I'm kind of tired reading all this crap about the mods. It's like being a Cop. Everyone hate them until they are either needed or not around. When they're there, people whine and complain because they're "watching everyone" and people get pissed off when threads and posts disappear to keep the site clean. When they aren't around people get pissed because mods aren't watching everyone and deleting threads and posts. Look everyone you can't have it both ways. Pick one. Either one. Any one. Just pick one.

Jaster, is it really that difficult to stick something that says no gun v gun threads, and if you have gun questions, go to that forum. And you can have ONE mod look at maybe a max of 20 new threads per day (hell, you don't even have to click on half of them) and close the new gun v gun threads giving a link to the sticky.
