I purchased a pretty nice autococker sto about a year ago and i have not oiled it yet. I've probalby played about 7-10 games this year and I'm wondering if I should oil it yet? and if so should i try and do it myself or bring it to a shop......the internals of a cocker sorta scare me somtimes.......anyways thanks

after 7-10 games you have not oiled it yet? Well as a general rule, I suggest you oil your gun after every day of play. You can do it yourself. it's not hard at all. Just put some (paintball marker oil) into your bottomline adapter (take off the barrel, hook up your air source, now fire a few rounds through the gun to cycle the oil through all the parts of the gun. Some people put vasoline on the trigger plate, and some on the bolt too.

You haven't oiled it in a year......
Wow, this should certainly get rid of the "unreliable autococker" image.
Try putting 1 drop of oil into the front of the 3-way too,

actually you want to make sure the oil gets to the 3-way. You can also take out your cocking rod, and cycle the gun, I have heard of some people doing it that way too.

I went to bob longs shop today (i live 10 minutes away, lucky me) and i talked to one of the guys that worked in the shop and he said you dont have to oil the gun at all. He also said that you DO NOT want to get oil in the 3-way..... why? i have no idea, so basicly just the oil the bolt.........unfortunatly i opened up the gun today and the bolt is pretty scrached up from lack of lubrication, a small chunk is gone from the front, anybody recommed a good bolt for a cocker sto?

hey mutt where do u live? I live 10 mins away from bob long's shop, and what guy told u, u dont need oil in the cocker, cuz zach worked on my cocker and i was talkin to him and recommened me oiling the 3 way alot of other people at fields say that to. Oh ya you need oil on your bolt definetly, because one of the reasons why sometimes your back block will stay back is because of the lack of oil on the bolt, you need lots of oil on the bolt or get a derloin bolt where u dont need to oil it

that is what i thought too. I would be pointless not to oil your gun right! I mean if you really want your gun to be messed up then go by all means don't oil your gun! And every site that i have gone to, and where i read about cocker maintenance says to put the oil in the bottom line adapter like silentknight said

woops my mistake, what i meant to say was that he said that i could oil the 3way but he said not to get it into the pnuematics, I still dont really know what to do though
