Jocks

Hey guys I know this is probly the wrong forum for this, but I find the coolest people here! :D Anyways my queestion is do you wear jocks when you play paintball. Why and Why not?? When I get my gun I WILL use a jock :P !

I tend not too since I play up front a lot and I'm real tight into bunkers. Also I chafe with them on, and I can't run with a turtle in my pants.

most people hang towels in their belts over their crotches. more comfy than a cup and just as protective.

btw, there are more forums on this site than just the kingman. a thread or poll such as this belongs in the general forum. plus, there are already a couple polls about cups. i don't want to sound mean, but most people get uptight about repeat threads in the wrong forum ;)

I dont like to wear a jock while playing because they tend to dig into my groin and it hurts. I also find them to be uncomfortable when i run and slid into a bunker or something. And even if i wanted to wear one, most stores don't carry an XXL size.

I never wear a jock, never will. I have a Dye towel that kinda flips over my belt on my pants that covers it up and works for me. It's a nice, easy layer of protection.

i never have worn a cup for paintball. as i see it, theres really no reason, with a towel protecting the future of my family. Besides, i dont wear a cup for when playing football either (which i can tell is a bad idea already)

i wear a joke and it's saved me once...so i'll never take it off, if i didnt have it on i dont know what coulda happened, because i got bunkered:eek: that would of been a painfull walk back to the resting area.

but i dont find them uncomfortable at all, maybe because i've been pretty much wearing them my whole life, well at least since i was 9 for baseball and hockey

Its all about where you position your body. I ALWAYS try and keep my hips behind the bunker, at least. Smaller target, and less of a chance of a Crotch Shot. Plus, we try not to shoot each other in the crotch. kinda...weird. :eyes:

HAHAAHA a newb got banned for calling me a newb... well I call em jocks... but according to the "cool guy" im wrong.. anyways, for u guys that wear jocks.. do u think towelz would b better? i imagine they r way more comfy to use and they probly protect the meat and 2 veg not bad too :D

dont wear one dont plan to, i dont usually expose that part of me when im playing, but just for safety i use the towel.
i probably should wear one to protect the twig and giggle berries but its just to uncomfortable to run in, and i've only been hit in the ***** once, in however many games i've played in.
i duno about you,cups are just really uncomfortable for me, i didnt even wear them in baseball and i played catcher (thank god for reflexes)

lol i played baseball, thought bout wearing a jock.. i was picture and i was surprised how many balls got hit straight towards me... lol one thing thsat was embarrasing is i was 2nd and i was younger, and it was grounder and it poped over my glove and creamed my leg, it hurt like **** i couldnt walk, so the ump had to carry me to the bench lol:| :eyes:

you havent felt pain until a pitch hits the plate does a weird bounce and hits you in the balls, or a players throws the bat backwards and nailed me in the head(instant out for doing that)

I wear a jock and always have. Its not uncomfortable for me at all you just gotta learn where to place it and how to run.I have also been wearing them sinse i was 3 when i played soccer and baseball. But I decided about a month ago i wasent going to wear one anymore and i was jus gonna use a towel but i havent gotten out to the field yet, because up until now i had no money and even now im spending the money i make b4 i can spend it on paintball

I got shot on the "head" one time when I was reffing. It was from far away and didn't hurt too bad.

I will probably wear a towel once I get pouched from up close. I've done it to people by accident and it's not pretty.

It's not much effort to put a towel in, your forget it's there....

well heres a small story that i saw last weekend

ok well this guy got out on the back left on the other team so this gy at the left 50 didnt think he was out, so this guy that got out called out and is just doing a little jog to the dead box (which is RIGHT beside the left 50), as he does this the guy at the left 50 peaks out down the tape and sees him running at him, the guy at the left 50 thinks the guy is trying to bunker him so with a quick reflex shot the guy that was already out got a couple in the nutter, needless to say he was down for the count, but he did get some love from the female paintballers after;)

I wear a cup. Not because I have been shot there, but because that's the one place I don't want to get shot. If I had to choose between taking a ball in the nut or the eye, well just call me "Squinty" because I would save my nuts first.

But hey, they're your "Boys" protect them if you want.

I usually wear some baggy mesh shorts. i will try the towel when i go to play next time. I decided to take em off at my last tounry and when my failed bunker didn't work the guy shot up my boys. So the towel sounds better.

yeah im never usualy in the position to get my nuts shot off, but there is the risk when i bunker and move from cover

I've always worn a cup. Get running tights to hold it in instead of a jock, and it's a hella lot more comfy, from my experience.
