What is the difference between the differenct pro and amatuer leagues(i.e. NPPL, PSP, NXL, Pan Am). Are you allowed to play in more than one league. Thanks.

pros are usually called that because, they have lots of sponsors and what not, and also do a lot more tournaments than the amateur teams, and they also go to all the big ones like Huntington beach and the world cup. and yes pros can play amateur as far as i know

The main differences between them are the promoters and the formats...

NPPL - Super 7's - 7-man format - Nationwide
PSP - 10-man, 5-man, Div. 1 & 2 X-Ball, and NXL - Nationwide
Pan-Am - 10-man, 5-man, and 3-man - Northwestern States

Each have their pluses and minuses, and each have their dedicated supporters. Maybe one day in the near future the NPPL and the PSP can rejoin and put on some killer tournaments like they have been this year.

Don't forget that Pan-Am has 7 man too. :)

And Dan Bonebrake (owner of the Pan-Am) circuit, developed the division systems. He "invented" the Novice, Rookie and Young Guns divisions, :P and didn't even try and patent them... because patenting things like that just limits the sport.
