what's the difference between a drop forward and a cradle?

I think the drop forward is just the "Z" shaped arm. The Cradle is that part that you can screw your Co2 or Nitro tank in to, located on the drop forward.

well, I don't think that's right. I think the part you screw the tank into is the bottomline adapter. I think a cradle is a type of drop forward that MAYBE is a onepiece drop with bottomline adapter?

All the drops I've seen that are called drops...are just the arm...but the cradles are both, and usually in once piece.

I'm sure TL or someone will be here soon to correct my newbie information :)

cradles are made generally for nitro systems that are not screwin, and dropforwards can be a drapforward with an asa or standard 2 hole fittings where you can place one on
