Ok, I have a stock 2001 autococker and want to put on new grips but in order to do that I have to put on a 45 trigger frame. I was thinking about the dye chrome frame. My question is will the new frame screw up my bottom line (steel braided hose) and is the frame hard to assemble on the gun?

actually, they do make grips for the stock 2001 frame, although i do highly recomend a 45 frame. About your choice, the dye frames are good, i also recomend the p&p customized 45's they have set screws to adjust trigger pull and they have awesome milling as well sa a cool anodizing pattern/color.
A 45 frame will not mess up any B/L as long as it is the standard 2 hole. Installing a 45 frame is a no brianer, it is the transfer of trigger internals that will tkae some time. Read up on it to get the most out of a 45 frame. I played with mine on my shocktech just to see what it had (parts wise) and all i had to do was remember w hat part went were as i took them out. Thats a good way to learn also. The p&p frames come with magnetic tipped screws i think, my cocker has them.

you can get the vl grips that give a 45 feel. I forget what theyre called but the fron on the grip is just like a 45 frame.
