Me and my buddy want to go paintballing in the woods, and since where we're going is a national forest, I'm sort of curious if there's any decent paintballs out there with thin fills, that won't leave a mark on trees, bushes or whatever, for a very long time. Since its just the two of us wiping obviously won't be a problem.

Any suggestions?

Most paint will just wash off when its raining. Also a national forest? Did you get permission to play there?

No...
But where else can we play? I sure don't have a forest in my backyard. I don't know anyone with a forest in their backyard to get permission from. I believe in following the spirit of the law, not the letter. :) We aren't planning on going out there and firing off a case of paint, marking everything in sight, we just want to go out there and stalk each other. If there was a forest where we could play for free with permission, believe me we'd do it. We'd go to a commercial field, but a) we don't have the money. (its around $50 for a day's play around here...$25 for day use, $20 for 500 paintballs, and another $5-10 for a fill. ($3/psi for a nitro fill grr....)) and b) we never get the chance to shoot each other, its always some random joe w/a bushie or a cocker that gets us out. So if you can suggest an alternative measure...I'm open.

I'm TRYING to be as unabusive to nature as possible by using a thin filled ball. The all-stars we just bought aren't an example of one of those...I shot against plywood with a sheet behind it...the green splatter stained the sheet, while the orange fill from some cheap paintball I got from piratepaintball.com washed out after staying in the sheet for a week or so... I'd like that kind of fill, without the completely unround ball.

actually if the national forest hes playing in is larger than one acre theres no chance he'll ever get caught. since george bush and other politicians have pretty much destroyed funding for the national parks there is no way that they can stop poachers from killing grizzlys at one lake, let alone two kids playing tag in the forest. i can understan what your saying and i am glad your asking for a thin shell so you wont damage the ecosystem. dont worry the shells are biodegradable and if your truly worried i think proball has some pretty thin shells.

I think he means the fill of the balls guys. Orange quake is a relatively thin fill from my experience. I got hit in the gogs and had to tell the ref i got hit because the fill was so thin you couldn't see it on the lens.

Just shoot the all-stars you have. They will disappear soon enough. My neighbor and I shot a case from his back patio into the woods behind his house and they were gone in 3-5 days with just the moisture in the air...no rain.
