Ok guys. You've all seen it done. They advertise a raised sight rail and then put the sight rail RIGHT BEHIND the vert feed. I'm looking for someone who can custom make the following product:

A sight rail that slides on the existing one and gives your gun the offset dual rails like the Rainmaker has. This allows you to actually put a scope or point dot or laser or whatever sight onto that gun.

You know, it would look something like this

[__]
| |
Except the brackets would be at a diagonal angle. (Slide the scope onto one of the brackets) The | | (supposed to be centered under there, but the formatting is screwy) is where it slides onto your existing sight rail.

If this was made, would you guys buy one?
Why do they make raised sight rails and put them right behind the vert feed? BE actually did something RIGHT on the Rainmaker.

If you guys can help me obtain one of these, I'd be most appreciative.

I wouldn't but alot of people prolly would. I don't need a sight rail cause I don't use a sight cause you don't need them. A tourney player wouldn't use it. A rec/scenario game player would prolly buy one, especially on a vert feed gun.

I think most people with a vert feed don't use sights.

i hate sites. there isnt time to use on in a real game, only like scenario games, which i dont play in.

check out the proteam products e-mag micro. what moron decided to aim the red-dot site directly into the vert feed? why even have one there? for looks?

red dot sights are two eye sights.. you look at a target and the one eye will pick up the red dot and super impose it onto the target seen with the other eye.. thus the red dot behind the vert feed will work just fine.. in fact sometimes its better since your "dot" eye only has a vert feed behind it there is nothing else for the eye to focus on.

Again, as I stated in the other thread, that is not a red dot!

Here is an explanation of what it is straight from the manufacturer- "O.E.G. stands for Occluded Eye Gunsight. This means that both eyes must be open to
use the Armson O.E.G.® The eye behind the sight sees a bright red dot in sharp contrast
against a black background, while the other eye sees the target area. The brain instantly
merges the dot and the target. The advantages of keeping both eyes open add the
benefits of peripheral vision and improved depth perception. The Armson O.E.G.® is the
fastest and most accurate optical sight available for close range (50 yds.) shooting at
night."

This is the perfect sight for a vert feed. Please refrain from bashing things when you do not have a clue what it is or how it works.

What kind of gun do you want to put it on? A friend did a custom job on his 98rt that mounts a red dot offset, I'm not sure thats what you want though. Do you want to mount a sight, or just look down the sight rail?

I was hoping on mounting a sight on my Shutter, but I don't want to drill any holes into it.

sites are for newbies who think they cant aim without them anyways, well they are for snipers too, but i am afraid of snipers so i wont make fun of them

i agree with prok, but there is alot of people (well newbie pretty much) that use them (or try to) i dont think a site is needed, i mean i like just pointing i dont want to waste time looking in a site that is not going to help because the shots are going to go to where the dot is. IMO sights are LAME!

I'm with pr0k (players against snipers). I don't use a sight for fear I'll get made fun of. It takes too long to line it up, in that time I could of got off a few well aimed shots.
You can probably find alot of newbies that would want it. Just act really enthusiastic and tell them it'll "improve their game".

I don't know if there really would be time to actually use a scope or lazer pointer or whatever. I'm a speed ball player you have to understand. There is snap shooting. Once you have enough skill you can put that tank to your shoulder and know where that ball is going to go. No paintball is going to go right were the lazer dot is enless you are like 20-30 feet away from it. But if your that far then why would you need to aim with a scope???

I don't really see the point either; even paintball snipers don't really need them because they are probably within 50 feet and can just as easily aim for the target(otherwise their longballing) without it; besides sights are made for objects that go straight and as we all know paintballs don't go staight very long if at all.

Is this what you are thinking of? I know its crude, but it only took 2 secs to whip up
