what kind of products would you like to see in the future that would make paintball more enjoyable and/or affordable?

cheaper paint, better hoppers/loaders, markers that WILL NOT chop, cheaper electro markers

I agree with the cheaper paint. It's so dang expensive. I would also like to see better air usage on tanks.

Cheaper paint??!?!?! CHEAPER PAINT?!?! BWWUHAHAAHHAH!½11!!!!11. In England & Finland we have to pay double for our paint (no joke), not to mention other parts...

Wow thats horrible. :( Anyways, I would hope both accuracy and over all shooting distance of markers would improve, though I doubt distance can be improved without safety becoming a risk factor.

Man, I feel sorry for you... Can't you mail-order it from some place in the states? Might take a few weeks to get there but eh.
Anyway, for me, I wish there were more places to play, and the cost of playing was cheaper. I don't have much money, and playing around here is as expensive as a day of 'boarding at a high end resort. (I complained about this in the barrels forum too) Its more than $50 here (Bay Area, California) for a days worth of playing at a commercial field. $25 admission, $20 for a half case of paint, and then another $5-10 for a fill depending on where you go and whether you're using co2 or air. My friend in Oregon can't believe it. He pays $5 for admission, $5 for all day air, and then however much paint he wants to use. Only difference is the places he plays are field paint only. (I think.) What gives?
So I think in the future, more options for playing is what I'm wishing for. I think a season pass for a couple hundred bucks would be awesome. Ski resorts do it, amusement parks do it, why not paintball places? A stipulation that you can only buy field paint would be acceptable in my eyes.

Cheaper paint (it costs hella lots in Canada), more consistent guns (280,280,280!!). Chocolate flavoured paintballs. Cheaper custom work on guns (milling, ano etc.)

i think mini air compressors on guns would be great because that would eliminate the need for N2 or compressed air tanks

Bullet shaped paint...er...balls. There's a reason that the armed forces quit using round shaped ammunition. It's not accurate. Make paintballs into a conical shape, and I'll bet we see the precision of shooting increase a heck of a lot. Are there any companies trying this?

Cheaper paint, better places to play.
If pballs were *bullet* shaped how would they make sure that they went in the right way? You could do it with pistols probably but with semis or autos it would be stupid only having ten shots a time, albeit more accurate ones.

Better speed ball, have it be more a 3d game, right now it's only kinda 3d, i'm talking about field that have to be mesure in CUBIC feet, not square feet. like inside the space shuttle
Umm, the elimination of brass eagle
You guys that are whineing about paint, i refer you to the pbstar.com interview w/The diablo man, it clearly states that what we pay for paint is a steal! Paint prices might even go up more.
I want cooler sup air fields, like the ones at the masters. I want more and larger trade shows. I want anyone who calls paintball war beaten by a mob.
more than anything, i'd like to be able to play more

i don't know if u know this but bullets and paintballs are completely different. the reason why they use that shape for bullets is because they could put a spiral on the bullet making guns sooo much more accurate.

Only having 10 at a time Mooney (say, in a clip format) would force us all to become BETTER players. I don't care how much paint you can lay down in a second, if it takes you 13 paintballs to eliminate me, you're not a very good player. However, if you limit yourself to just a few rounds at a time, you're forced to make your shots count. That's why the old guys with the pumps are so good. They were limited to very few shots...they fired slower, but they were better. Anybody can squeeze off 13-15 rounds a second. It takes a player with SKILL to elminiate someone with 3 or less. True?
I wouldn't mind having 10 round clips, if it made it more accurate. *shrugs*

They already have paint-bullets that are discharged with explosion (like regular bullets) instead of a gas source. The shell, I can not remember what it's made of. I think something with it being coated with wax (to absorb the gunpowder explosion). Sort of like the ones used in Childs-Play 2, actually!
Plus they have bullet-shaped paintballs. Some, if I remember, have fins on them even. They are very delicate, though. They are carried in a case protected with and individually shaped foam (like a gun case). And these are individually loaded with each shot. VERY accurate, and great distance.

Why the hell would I want to carry a stupid clip of 15-30 "bullets"?? That's hella ***. By using bullets, clips and such, you're making paintball look less like a sport and more like some tatictal war-fare ****.
Why change something that's already good? If balls went to bullets, EVERYTHING WOULD HAVE TO CHANGE. Not gonna happen because POS newbies like you want it to.
13 shots to eliminate one player is bad, **** YOU
I wouldn't mind having 10 round clips up your *ss. That's the ***est Idea I've ever heard.

When I started playin in '87 paint was $1.88 for a tube of 10!
That's $18.80 for 100!!
Plus tax!!!
Don't wanna spend so much money on paint? Shoot less. You'll be a better player for it.

I agree w/ Blaster.
But according to Diablo, paint prices today are a STEEL!
And for 18.80, I can get 500 rounds of Super Swirl, including tax at Wally World. That's more than 5 times cheaper!
Hell, I've had the same 500 round box for the past month, and I play every other sunday, and practice every other sunday besides that. Play with pumps and 10-shots are a great way to help w/ paint prices.

Um, Blake and Prokchop, was that supposed to imperss anyone? All that showed me was how small your vocabulary is.
I was merely suggesting something to make paintballs more accurate. Don't you try to get the best barrel you can to make your shots more accurate? Yes, you do. Does that make the game a tactical warfare game? No. It just makes your shots more accurate. It's the same with my suggestion. Man. For cryin' out loud, settle down, cool your overheated tempers, and just relax. :eyes: It's responses like that, that turn off newbies to the sport.

wow after reading that article gives me a whole different view on buying paint now hehe, what prices drop if paintballing all the sudden went mainstream like skating or something, you know like with all those tony hawk commercials there will sudden be a great demand for paint since all these new kiddies want to play paintball.

i can't shoot 13-15 bps w/ my bushy :( the avg hopper can't feed that fast, i practice everyday pulling the trigger as fast as i can and staying in control and still can't achieve that rof. and 13 balls to hit some1 is not much at all. i dunno maybe you play huge woods games or something, but if you've ever played speedball, you'd realize thats really good, that would mean eliminated everybody on the other team with way over 1/2 a hopper left

Actally I have scrimaged Team Evil Insyde up at U-Mass and they play hopperball for practice. That means that they take to the speedball field with just a hooper loaded with paint and thats it. They do it to practice making thier shots count and to force them to be accurate with thier shot placement. THey are a pretty god team and will win games doing this without shooting much more than half a hopper.

I never said i that i shoot 13 balls a second, more like 3 :D - still need to shoot 13 balls before i get someone though. The amount of paint per sec wasnt what i was complaining about its the fact that even at OSOK level every ten shots you need to reload - just the annoyance factor.
Paintballs cheap!! Gotta be kidding me! They are very expensive here, cos paintball is an american/canadian invention you get better prices. Paintball fields over here have to buy from diablo, dye, etc... pay import charges, tax, and god knows what else (the system is screwing us!!) so that is passed on to us UK customers.
