I'm not trying to diss Shockers, but what makes them better than Impulses. Please give some other reason besides they shoot farther/more accurately. I disagree with you if you think that they do. By the way I really like Shockers. I'm just wondering what makes them better than Impulses (assuming that they are).

Shockers, either by design of the bolt or the slightly lower operation pressure are less likely to chop a ball. My Shocker now runs at 170psi. It came new set from SP at 150psi for 280fps.
I hear alot about the Vision Imp's. Shocker's don't need ACE's. I have never busted a ball b/c of shooting too fast. I've jammed too big of balls down a small barrel, and I've chopped balls when my tank was almost dry. I belive Imps are a bit more prone to chopping, not alot but some.
Imps have that open part on the top to let dirt in. Shockers are sealed a bit more. There is one open spot for the intellifeed plug.
I just think that Imps are a little too new, and still do not have all the kinks worked out. Shockers are older and have been refined more.
Anybody else have more?
I think the Shocker action is smoother and quieter... not to mention its rof is faster.

Let me see if I can get a friend to come over from PBC (Hey free's good! what's to stop him?) He's recently gone from Imp to Shocker, He'll no doubt have a few pro/ cons for each side of the issue!

Shockers are not necessarily "better" than impulses. They are just like any other 2 markers. You just need to choose the right tool for the job. They perform slightly differently, and are best suited for different roles. They both are great markers in their own right. The Shocker is the flagship of the SP Line. It is more complex, has more parts, and as a result, its more expensive. The imp is designed to compete in the lower end electro market, and still perform great. The shockers design is inherently going to produce better consistency, and a quieter marker, but with both markers running the Max-flow, the imp has great consistency too. The shocker weighs a bit more, not so good for a front player, but a mid to back player will appreciate its stability when they are shooting long range.
Again, kinda like Dinero said in Ronin- A marker is just a tool, pick the right tool for the job. No marker is going to be perfect for every job. Decide what you need and go with it.

When I borrow nitro, my velocity with my Imp is +/- 2

I think that as long as your velocity is not fluctuating, and you have a decent barrel and good paint, your gun should be as accurate as the next guys.
