View Full Version : Good Idea?

I decided I'm going to stick with my minimag and sell all my other guns and gear. That way it will give me plenty of time to get used to my mag's trigger. After I sell all my stuff I was thinking about saving up a bit at a time for a better set up also. Maybe like a matrix or something similar. That way I'll have a nice mag as a back up. Sound like a good idea? I just want some feedback as to what I should do with my mag :)

You know what I'll say.
Main marker: Shocker
Backup: PF Automag
I have considered selling both for an Angel, but won't right now. I like the fact that each marker compliments the other.
Shocker/Mag:
Battery marker/ No batt marker
runs off co2 or HPA/ runs off co2 or HPA
large/ small
Yes, sell off the old markers. Just make sure your MiniMag is working and you always have a parts kit handy.
I just don't consider Matrices, or Mayhems, or Electric frames or Proteus or anything really new a viable option. I'm more for long-term gear. Let new stuff be out on the market for a year or two and see how they are doing. Other ppl will have found any flaws by then.
For Electro markers right now: I'd be cool with WDP, B2K, Shocker, and maybe E-Mag. Everything else I'd let sit, wait and watch.

Yeah, I was also thinking about getting an nice anti-syphon(sp?) Co2 tank also...just in case I need to play somewhere that only has Co2...not likely though!

A anti-syphon tank would be good to have. I'd buy a scuba tank and fill adapter first. About $200 total but then you'd always be sure to have HPA.
You ever test your Mini to make sure the screw is really backing out and not some other problem like your tank starving the gun?
What you should do is get a marker or grease pencil. Adjust your velocity and mark the nut. Then play a day and don't touch the nut and see where it ends up at the end of the day.
I am only thinking that the nut might not be your shootdown problem and the lockdown screw would not fix it. You are using a PMI tank right? It might be the problem. I'll be at ACP this Sat, maybe we can work on your Mini.

and yes I'm using a PMI tank...I was wondering why my mag with HPA was less consistent than my alley cat with Co2...tank reg prob?

Hmmm, I found a preset Dynaflow 68ci 4500psi for 219$...But I really don't feel like paying that much. I don't think Todd gives refunds so I may be stuck with that tank...great...If I'm going to spend 200 on a tank might as well get a friggin' impulse and run it on Co2. I gotta put together all the stuff I'm gonna sell....

Todd sold you the PMI? Take it back and have them look at it. Well, have the only person in there I trust look at it.........Dusty. Bring it in with your Mag. He has a "thing" for Mags. :)
Don't list the things you're selling here. Put them in the trading forums.
Leaving for ACP in few hours.......
