Painting a 2K Cocker

I have a WGP 2K cocker. I am wondering if i can paint the body of the gun? annodising is too expensive, and I have no idea how to annodise things myself so that is out of the question. has anyone ever painted their cocker?

I have a teammate of mine that paints his own guns, and has done a few for other people. I helped him out with some paint jobs using simple techniques. Just take your gun apart, seal up the inside of pieces and once you're done with the paintjob of your choice, solid or splash, make sure you apply lots of clear coat to seal it.
