I just posted few days ago but now that I got my gone and fired my own gun for the first time, I'm excited.

BUT...here's what I did. My Shutter is upgraded with J&J Performance barrel (16" i know it's long) and the accuracy wasn't all that. My gauge is reading about 800psi (too high?) and I'm using RPS All-Star paint which fits just perfect in the barrel. The springs are stock although I do have the kit...

Is there way to keep the accuracy and lose some loudness from this gun? I'm a very n00b at paintball so any suggestion would help. Also...I just want to know how I can do so without having to buy other after market parts.

Thanks...

well to make your gun quiter you could get a new valve, which lower your operating pressure. it wont have any negative effects on your gun, if anything it will make your gun more accurate because there will be less kick and it will be more consistent. you will also get much more shots off of your tank. and i would suggest getting a smaller barrel, if you want accurate get a lapco big shot (what i use, look down to see my gun) or if you want quiet (still accurate) get a smart parts tear drop (12") well i hope this helped good luck with your shutter, i used to own one too, pretty nice gun.

try turning your "reg" down to about 700 to 725 I did that with mine and it shoots pretty consistant.

at 800 psi your reg is really not doing anything turn it down and your velocity dialer up. I n fact turn up your dialer as far as it will go the back off 1-1.5 turns then adjust your reg down to get the veloicty right this will get your pressure down as far as possible
