I am going to the UK for a vacation in December and I was hoping to go play some ball while I was out there, but I would like to know what laws/procedures are in place with regard to the above mentioned topic.
I can't find any information on the above topic, and if someone could point me in the right direction, it would be appericated.

You're also going to want to check with the FAA & customs about getting the marker onto the plane.
Don't even try to bring it as carry-on.

Well its perfectly ok to use your paintball gun in the UK - just have to make sure its Semi only - Full auto is illegal in this country.
Also before you board the plane make sure you tell customs, or someone in the airport (that works there :D not some other passenger :D) cos if its in your luggage and it goes through the x-ray your screwed - they will keep you there while they check you for other weapons.

Most people who buy Angels are tourney players. I've never seen a rec player go out and buy a $1000+ gun just for weekend play. If I had an Angel I'd buy a "semi only" board, otherwise I couldn't play tournaments. Besides, full auto, zip, burst modes are good and all...but where are you going to use them? Field owners don't let you, neither do tournaments.

It depends on the field, some have limits at 16, some at 12 and others are kinda vague.
Anyway, I had no trouble bringing my marker from Canada to the UK this summer, we mentioned it at check in and the guy was like "Paint-ball? what...is...that?" (he was a bit slow) so I explained it to him, and he asked if the "ammunition" (his words) was seperate, and I told him that it was. My mum then had to sign the tag that they put on the suitcase, confirming that there was a paint pistol inside, and that was it!
One thing, make sure that there is no gas whatsoever in any tanks or cylinders, or you will be in severe trouble.
