Has anyone out there attempted and succeeded in bringing a paintball marker on an airplane? I would really like to not have to use a crappy rental marker next time I fly down to florida. Tell us about any problems you had, if any, with getting your marker on a plane.

All you have to do is check in and tell them about it, same way you bring a real gun, it has to be declared and unloaded. Also, make sure your tank is totally empty.

Yeah having a full co2 tank or n2 tank is considered a bomb, so if you want to stay out of jail....

do you just call and ask them about it or do you have to tell the x-ray people about it
who exactly do you tell
can you have it with you or do you have to give it to them
i have to go somewhere to get my angel and then fly back cause i have school should i even bother with taking it on the plane or should i ship it to my house and buy in surance for it

it has to be packed......in your siutcase or gun case....whatever......but you CANT have it in the airplane with you. it HAS to be checked.

better safe then sorry, you should call up the airlines ahead of time. you cant bring it on the plane as carry on, especially not now, bad timing man. did you know you allowed to travel with plutonium or any other radioactive material as long as its under X grams?

I've never taken my gun on a plane. But I have heard stories of peoples nitro tanks being confinscated from their bags that they checked. If I ever flew on a plane I would check my gun and then take my gas tank as carry on and I would also completely unscrew the valve. So when I go through baggage check they can actually see inside the bottle so they know there is no way it is pressurized.

that is the craziest thing to do right now!

but anyways like everyone else suggested, don't event think about carry on! and you better make damn sure you don't have any air in your tank(s) when you put them in your luggage!!!!!!! You should also inform them that you have a PAINTBALL MARKER! NOT GUN! and tank in your luggage your about to check in.

Put ur gun in a case and take off the barrel make sure ur tank is all the way empty. you dont have to declare it either because a Marker is not considered a firearm. Tanks need not be declared either
