Homeade Drop

how do u make a homeade drop, such as what metal do you use

Hey....

Goto Homedepot or any Building Suppy Store and get a 5foot piece of Aluminum.. just bend it.. and it works. find.. Its Very Light And Strong. Heres Mine

or in stead of bending, one, if you know someone that works at a machine shop a factory, you can cut out the metal instead of bending it, the just make it look better. Here's a pic of mine, its aout 7"-8" long, its sandblasted and its got holes in it to make it lighter with beveled edges to make it look cool. It took my dad about 3 days to make it during freetime/lunch and DELPHI. Its a little big for my taste so im gonna shorten it up soon.

i tried to make it look kinda like the phsyco ballistics drop but this is a little bigger. im gonna cut it down a little because its a little big for my taste.

whoa, i saw the DELPHI 300 at the chicago land speedway. is that the same company? well the drop looks pretty good.

that thing looks tight:D Oh, and just to let you know acording to your screen name im guessing you have an A5...you probably already know, but in order to put a drop forward on an A5 you gotta buy a little adaptor thing for like $9...i forget where u can get em though

i know i need an adapter, and i would pay probly pay like 15-30 bucks, but im knda a noob and i dont realy know how much these things go for. if u think i should pay more, i might pay it as least it isnt above $40.
and i dont really care about sand blasting, but i would like it black.
and i would like to get the screws i shold use for it also, so i dont have to go lookin for em.

I don't want to steel aluminum from work anymore so I'm going to buy some soon. I think if you want me to paint it, it would have to cost a little more than just a drop because you gotta prime metal and stuff. Im not saying I can selll you one yet, but I'll know within a week or two probably :)

Tank goes on a 45 degree angel cause hose was small and he liked it like that....acts like an ex-chamber too;)

im still debating ont wether i should get the drop or an intruder x-chamber....
what would u guys get for an a-5?

Don't get an X-chamber, they dont do much. Get a barrel if you haven't yet, then regulator, and then a drop I guess.

captain, sorry bout this, but mt parents just got my teachers monthly report on my grades and now im grounded!
they said i cant buy didly shat for at least 2 weeks:bawling:
and i think it would just be to complicated for me and you to make sure this thing would fit my Tipp A-5 air system( the hose is just to long and you would have to cut out the bottom basically for 'the thing that the tank is screwd into' for it to fit)

thats alright it would have been probably at least 2 weeks until I could get a belt sander to make them with, I know they would fit if you bought the adaptor but usually when you get a new drop, you gotta get new hose.
