tips and hints

I subscribe to field and stream (an outdoor magazine) and every month in the back they hav a tips and hints page. I think it would be cool if there was a certain thread is some forum where only mods could post, and once a month a mod from every forum puts in a tip or hint for the newer players that come to the site. If you had that back in dec. when I first came, or Jan. when I joined I know I would of looked at that a lot.

and I would still look at it now.

Thats a pretty good idea, but the mods aren't the only knowledgable people on these forums. There are many other people on this site with extensive knowledge of paintball. If you really want to learn something, just read through the strategies and tactics forum. :)

ok, but....

if you look at a lot of threads on this entire forum there are people who don't give info. they just talk and spam. Then that thread could be pure info. nobody would ever have to check on it and it would be simple.

I'm not just talking strategies. I'm talking paintball tips.

such as:

how to make a temporary squeegie
what to use if you loose a guppie
how to be a good team captain for a team or rec game
how to peek out of bunkers
how to bunker
you know you are advanced enough to buy a new gun when...
anything and everything that has to do with paintball.

I geuss anybody could post in it, and then we would just assign you (magnus) to clean up any junk or debates that get stareted when somebody dosn't agree with something or someone wants clariffication and stuff.

anybody else have an opinion?

and I'm not saying smart people are only the mod's. Some non-mods are smarter than some mods in my opinion. but we won't get into that.

That might be cool, maybe as a sticky in the newbie forum or something. You could have people (not just mods) submit ideas for tips and have the mods decide which tips are worthy of posting. Might be too much work though:|

Great idea but if we let everyone post after a week it would have 1000 replyes with half of them being repeated ideas or mindless spam:sulk:

That is why I said only Mod's.

said have the mod decide if it can be put in. send tips and hints to a mod. and the mod puts it in.

Many people have made worthwhile posts in there and I've weeded out most of the spam. In the future should anyone post spam in there or anywhere else in the strategies and tactics forum, just PM me and I'll erase it. :)
