2004 Rats???

Does anyone know when the 2004 rats are coming out? Or if the are?

If it comes out at the same time the 03 Rats did, it will be around May - June.

i dont think there will be an 04 rat since they are going to be making the rat shocker.

Well we are always making plans...

Smart Parts figures it takes about 100 guns to "break even" on a new design. I remember when we first started working on the Rat- they were very concerned about "Do you realy think you can move 100 guns in a year?" At that time they had a couple of "false starts" a couple of dealers with grand plans but had only sold 15 or 20 guns.

Well we fixed that-- we wanted our guns to be the best PREFORMANCE for the dollar and sent them VFFs we bought our selves, and Delrin bolts we bought our selves, and Blade triggers we bought ourselves, and insisted on a freak barrel, and basicly created the template for the "unversial custom Impulse"

So lets see, if we need to sell 100 to break even... I guess we could do the January Rat, and the Febuary Rat, and...

I'm sorry- I'm getting carried away here.

Our real problem is that SP can't build enought guns for us to fill all our orders. If we started devloping a new design, we might never get any guns!

SO I guess the real answer is When we find somthing we want to change, or we figure out some way to get a better preformance per dollar- yes we will do a "new" Rat. But frankly it won't be soon because we are sill excitted about being able to give you a marker with a VFF (It took us 2 years to get that from SP- but it worth the wait!)

I was wondering about that too. But Rats are an awesome deal as is, and completely understand why you guys dont need a 04 Rat.

03 was a big step up from a 02, but i dont think we'll see another big step up like that for quite a long time.

Im really digging the Rat shocker though, you guys got any detail at all you can give us about the gun?? :D

How long exactly long is a "long time"?

OK- how about "more than 120 days" ? It takes SP 120 days to go from "specs" to production on a custom gun. so as we don't even have "specs" yet, it would have to be atlest 120 days

frankly at the moment, we are working on the Rat shocker- and deciating a lot of time to that, so even if we thought there was a resion to, we couldn't even start until that is done (about December)

That is a real long way of saying that the earlist would be April or so

Already jumping for the 04 Rat when the 03 has been out for only 6 months..... you guys need to get some patience. I have plenty, but I'm a doctor. Well, not a real doctor, but a doctor of markers, so my patients don't talk, and that's good, but there owners do. anyway.... what do you mean patience isn't the same as patients.... oh..... nevermind.

New redesigned Rats probably won't be out for another year or two and by then the marker market will have some pretty big revolutions i expect

i ordered one last wednesday and it hasnt ariived so i called to see wut was taking so long and they ran out of rat jrsso they said they would be in tomorrow BUT i have a tournament on the 27th so do u think ill get it in time or could i sub the not get the lpr and getan 03 milled gun??

If not could you guys get it to me ASAP so i can use it for the tourny:confused: :(
