I'm not exactly totally new to paintball but i've never played with an autococker and what wondering if by AUTO-cocker they mean that it is an automatic. Are Electro's the only type of guns that are auto? Is the 32 Degrees Bob Long Autococker a good choice if I wanted to step up to a high end gun?
Your answers would be greatly appriciated.

1. autococker means that it cocks automatically. the autococker was released at a time when pumps were very popular, and the pnumatics at the front of the marker replace the pump arm, so thus it cocks automatically.
2. yes electro markers are the only markers able to go full auto, although many electros now do not offer a full auto mode.
3 IMO, the BL cocker really isnt worth it. how much does it cost? like $700 or so. for less than that you can get the bob long intimidator which is one of the best guns on the marker, its around $622 on www.countypaintball.com and that is a very nice high end gun, as many pro players are now using them, as well as the person whom it is named after, bob long.

Actually, there are full-auto guns out there that aren't electros. Foremost among these are the AT series of guns. They operate on a hella-compex air engine system that has a lotta itty-bitty moving parts.
But the point is, not all autos are electros.

Cockers have a short, light trigger and they're reliable. They are also low pressure, very fast, and very upgradeable.

I don't even see why anyone would use full-auto. It's not allowed in tourneys or at most fields.
Also, most people with electros don't use f/a in games, and not even all electros have a f/a mode. A matrix is like $700 and it is semi only, but it can be fired at 10-13 bps.

a Cocker with a good setup can do that. Vertical Feed Cocker + Hinge = around 400 bob.
