OK, here is all the info you should know......

1) I am a pretty new player, of about 6 months
2) I need a new marker, I am kinda outgrowing mine.

I was thinking vertical feed cocker or impulse. Not many people know about cockers here where i live, so i was a bit drug away by that. I like impys, bushys, cockers, and most markers in the range i have to spend.... I need a marker between the cost of 200-550 dollars. thank you.

co2 or n2?

out of all your choices i would get a impulse. but really i would save some extra money and get a timmy. they are only $622 at www.countypaintball.com and will be that much forever i think, atleast that is what i think mike said that they will be.

Ok, I suggest a Phantom SC.... seriously.

Get skill, not spray and pray. Trust me, if you do this, you'll thank me later. I promise you.

A mag would definately be a great choice for you. They are very simple to maintain and give you out of the box performance that is unmached in your price range. My second choice for you would be the Bushy, but I dont really know how complex of a marker they are. Maybe Richy could chime in here?

To get a really good cocker(Great guns also) you probably will end up spending alot more than $550, and they are a gun that requires a little bit of knowledge to keep going great. If you do go with the cocker, do your homework on it and you will be fine.

HAH!

When you decide on a marker that is actually competitive I'd go with the impulse if you're stuck on CO2, and if you're one of the lucky few to buy nitro in their first year of paintball, buy a bushmaster. The Impulse and Bushy perform about even, but I prefer the feel of a bushmaster (an LPR means lower bolt cycling pressure, which means less hurky jerky crap feel when you fire) and they look nicer :) However, on CO2, the Impulse really is the best marker out there in your price range. Hope this helps
