Just wonderin what the people prefer. Chose between Co2 if you use it, or N2 if you use it. Also choose the size you use. Post why you like it, or why it's convienent. I'm not doing this so i can find out what tank to buy next, just wonderin what tank is the most prefered. Please note that i cannot fit all the sizes or types on here.

Its big enough to get through a game or two, but small enough to be comfortable and not get in the way. Also, not all shops fill 4.5ks, only 3ks.
I have a 4.5 68ci., but I most of the fields around here can only fill 3k. So, I bought a 3k, and now the 4.5k just sets in my shop waiting for the next tounrey.

Right now I've got a 24 oz CO2 tank, and it rocks ... Best thing is, I don't have to get a lot of refills. Sometimes none. I hope I'm that lucky when I go Nitro!

I have a 12oz and a 20oz Co2 tank. I use the 12oz more than the 20oz since its a lot lighter on my harness (I run a remote).
I may sell my 12oz and put the money towards either an ACI Bulldog 68ci 3000 PSI preset or a Crossfire tank in the same configuration.

I like N2-114 ci 3000psi. I like it because I can shoot about 1600 balls with it . We all know how much it sucks when the field runs out of air. People say it is to heavy but, I have no problem.

I like the size of the 68ci tanks. I have never ran out of air in a game, and it fits nice. I would, however, like a 4500psi, but liek many others... the fields here do not support fills over 3k... and 4500psi scuba tanks aren't approved for personal use in the US :(

ah ha, the best of both worlds, a 88 4500 so if you can't fill 4500, you can still have 88 of 3000, a good # shot i might add, what do you think?

What's the difference between co2 and nitrogen. I mean, do they work the same way or do you need special equipment to run nitrogen?

Co2 expands much more than compressed air or nitrogen. CO2 is liquid in the tank and if this gets into most markers it cause problems. Thats why you hear about x-chambers. Using a remote will also help the CO2 to expand before it enters your marker. High pressure air/compressed air/ nitrogen in paintball are all the same thing and use the same type tank. They come in 3000psi or 4500psi. The high pressure is also cleaner than CO2. (better for your marker)

Wow, I guess I'm just lucky. My local fields, The Paintball Zone in Waterford, CA, and Extreme Paintball in Modesto, CA, both fill HPA. I know Waterford has a megabooster, or something similar, so they can fill up any tank to max pressure. Not sure about Modesto. I guess now would be a good time for me to get an HPA tank! Anyone know if the Pure Energy tanks are any good? I would probably end up buying an adjustable reg to go after it, so I'm just wondering about their flow and consistency.

How much biggr and heavier is an 88cu and a 68 cu. If they were both 4500, how many more shots owuld u get?

good rule of thumb 3000 tank gets 10 shot for each cc.
47=about 470, 68=680, 88=880, 4500 tank 1.5 per. (if there was one)47=705, 68=1020, 88=1320. Thats alittle high on all of them but it is easy to remember. And of course it depends on your maker.

Doesn't 32º make a 47 Ci 4500 in there turbomax series? I know i have seen a 4500 ci 47 ci before, but i'm not sure it was a 32º...

Because I use co2 i chose the 12 oz. The 20 oz tank is too heavy to be directly attached to the gun (and I dont like remotes) and the 9 oz weighs just about the same as the 12 oz. So the negligable weight differences between the 12 and 9 give me the reason to choose the former.

I used a 9ounce on my old spyder, it's pretty light, but makes a bad shoulder stock in my opinion (small and uncomfortable), right now I'm a fan of 68ci tanks. Naturally, I like 4500 more, but realistically I cant afford one, so I've got a 68/3k. As for the turbomax tanks, I've heard not so good stuff about them, I'd personally suggest a better tank at a lower pressure, than the turbomax 4500s. You're better off with great consistency and recharge than having 900 shots per fill, at least that's my opinion :)

I use 20 oz co2 but only fill to 16 oz in the winter. Every bit of expansion helps!

these are great tanks, they seem smaller than 14 oz tanks but hold more as much. great for playing bottom line. it fits pretty nice in your shoulder and you can get your gun right up in your face. i'd suggest getting 2, they can run out of air pretty fast considering they're only 16oz

ok well im getting a 68ci 3,000 but ive heard that crossfire and pmi are rally good but which should I get??

Simon:N2 is alot more expensive than a Co2 tank. You can get a 20 oz for 30 dollars, but the cheapest you can get a nitro tank for is like 80. And you're ognna want somthing bigger, like a 68ci, and htat's gonna jack your price up even more.
Redwidow: The Crossfire adn the PMI are both very nice tanks, but the PMI is better. It has more of a consistancy, and it has a better recharge rate than the Crossfire.

what's the point of going nitro?do oyu get more shots out if it.cause if you ask me it's just another 50$ down the drane to get a nitro tank when it's only 20 for a 16oz co2. what's the differance.besides being able to agust the psi on the tank?

A: Accuracy, nitrogen is more consistant from shot to shot due to it's regulator, meaning your shot grouping will be much closer together
and
B: Clean, Co2 is a very dirty gas, and with that, your guns seals and o-rings will wear down much faster than if you use Nitrogen, Nitrogen is not a liquid so you will not encounter many problems.
hope that helps!

"A: Accuracy, nitrogen is more consistant from shot to shot due to it's regulator, meaning your shot grouping will be much closer together"
This is not the reason it is more "consistant"...
It is more consistant because it the pressure says pretty much stable....and is not really effected by temperature..and is stored in the tank as a gas
CO2 is stored as a liquid and pressure is increased as this liquid turns to a gas..
One reason it is not as consistant is....
CO2's pressure can increase a lot in hot temperatures which makes the pressure increase in the tank and or x chamber and can cause spikes in your shot to shot pressure...and so not be as "consistant"

But any regulator helps, think about it. Co2 is liquid, N2/HPA ain't. Liquid can expand or contract much much much more rapidly, HPA/N2 doesn't as rapidly, or hardly ever. Co2 extracts the heat from the hetal of the cylinder in order to expand during rapid fire. HPA and N2 doesn't. Co2 is better in the way of Shots/Tank, HPA/N2 requires you to have a bigger tank to store a bigger volume of air, not liquid. just addin on to what you said.

Hey, should I get this(130)? I'm lookin into nitro, but will there be any way that I could fit a 68ci in my pack. How big is the width of the thing, Or the perimiter? I could sew some straps on the pack and make it work. Weight isn't an issue. I have sewn shoulder straps off of a back pack on there, and it has a belt. So whuts the deal, is it possible?
