i just got a 98c. it doesnt have any upgrades yet. i bought PMI premium paintball yesterday, the problem i have is that the paintball doesnt always shoot straight. sometimes it curves left or right, other times it sinks. this is at about 75 ft from the target. is it the barrel, paintball or do i need to adjust somethign else on the gun? thanx

what barrel do u have? is it stock? if so, a barrel should be the first thing you should upgrade. theres not a person on this forum that wouldnt agree. i personally suggest a lapco bigshot. http://store.yahoo.com/actionvillage/paintball-barrels-lapco-barrels-lapco-big-shot-barrels.html

The stock barrel sucks so bad that you can't even hit a house with it. I throw away mine after my 1st day of pbing.

Get youself a nice aftermarket barrel. Check the sticky for more info on aftermarket barrel FAQ.

hey i just reccomend getting a better barrel i recomend

Lapco bigshot(herd it was good)
Teardrop(herd that was good also)
Flatline(i own it i like it for distance on it)
or a all american 2002 barrel(looks very nice from reviews)

i say check out the reviews see what u like best then save up or buy it if u have the money.

You'll just need to get an aftermarket barrel. I'd recommend a J&J Ceramic, DYE Xcel, DYE Ultralite, Smart Parts Tear Drop, Smart Parts Progressive, or a CP 1 Peice, depending on how much you have to spend.

Even though Smart Parts seems like an evil company, their Tear Drop is a great barrel. I find it very accurate and hella stylish. Anyway, did you check your velocity? At higher velocities (280+) paint can tend to curve like you said. Personally I'd rather shoot around 270 and have my paint fly straight than 280-300 and curve.

definately get a new barrel, i have the 98c and that was the 1st upgrade i needed 4 it, i'd say get the Lapco Bigshot its only about $40 online, top of the line barrel, and works good w/ even cheaper paint. I have it and i've owned my neighbors since then. 1 of them has a J+J Ceramic and thats ok, but mine's better... and another guy has a Phat Performence barrel from ACI and thats good on his 98c, but i still smash him every game w/ the Bigshot.

Now, the Blade is one the best guns out there no question. It only cost $20 and its got 2 modes of fire... Pump, and WTF!?!?!? the pump broke straight off!!!! I've seen both modes in woods ball and they are equally good.

first off get a new barrel (SP teardrop, Lapco Bigshot, AA, CP1 piece...etc)
then simply get closer, if you havent noticed its easier to hit someone at close range

Whoa, everyone is recommending the Big Shot barrel. I just got the Night Stick one before I read this, please tell me I didn't just made a mistake.:(

It'll be an improvement, but I'm sticking to my guns. Get closer.

Night stick is good too. It'll probably be quieter than a big shot anyway.
